Harry and Avada Kedavra. They simply do not mix. Harry somewhat personifies love, and avada kedavra, hate. The two cannot mix. How then, will Harry vanquish Voldemort, if he doesn't want to split his soul?

Expecto Patronum. Rather fitting for our protagonist that was saved by his mother's love.

The theory goes that Voldemort brings a dementor into the final confrontation, and Harry, full of love, uses Expecto Patronum on the Dementor. Voldemort, with his hate-filled self, will attract the dementor. Expecto Patronum requires happy thoughts to be cast properly, but Voldemort, i believe it is safe to say, has never felt happy, and knows no happiness or love. Consequently, it is my belief that Voldemort would not be able to cast the Patronus charm (what would it look like if he could?).

The result? The dementor, egged on by Harry's stag patronus, proceeds to kiss Voldemort. Obviously, Harry would have completely dehorcruxified Voldemort before the confrontation, so the dementor would remove the last piece of voldemort's soul from his body, and Voldemort would be as good as dead, without a soul.

Rather fitting due to the common motif of the soul in the Harry Potter books.

I believe it fairly possible, but only a week to wait.

Voldemort? He was happy.
For example, like the time where the ten death eaters broke out of Azkaban.

And seriously, do you think that:
- Voldemort has no way to combat a Dementor, or at least to escape?
- That the plot would end so stupidly?

This is actually one of the most plausible theories I've seen in a while.

...but I doubt it'll happen.

I don't think it will happen this way. For one, this doesn't fufill the prophecy that was made. Harry HAS to kill Voldemort. A dementor killing him just doesn't work.

I think Harry is going to create his own spell and use that to defeat Voldemort. Something to completely counter the Killing Curse and now no one will be able to use it successfully. LOL JK. IDK Wats gonna happen but I cant wait

LOL JK. Nice double entendre there.

Another thing about Expecto Patronum is that it doesn't quite signify the mother's love, but rather the father's - both from the etymology of the spell and from its effect. So, I feel that the thing to do Voldemort in will be more Lily-centric.

I don't understand. Voldemort has felt happiness before. Read the fifth book.

Thats why I think this theory is false. Also, Voldemort is literally controlling the Dementors. I don't think that they are going to pray on him when they set them free from Azkaban and gave them limitless prey.

I would think that somewhere in that large arsenal of spells, Voldemort knows at least one spell that can harm a dementor.
Whether or not he knows/has known happiness is not the issue IMO. I dont think he's going to have to use the patronus charm to harm a dementor.
