Pokemon Levels and Custom Passes

Last night, I was playing PBR with my bro and gf, and my brother, using Dialga, lost to a Nidorino. My brother is not completely crappy at Pokemon, and I was kinda coaching him anyway, but he still lost. I was thinking, "Dang...this equalizing of levels is really owning me!" As he used two more Pokemon, I noticed that all enemy Pokemon were lvl 94 (as my highest on the battle pass was 94), but all my Pokemon stayed the same level.

First off, what the hell? Did I miss something? Is there a way to upscale all my Pokemon to the same level, or am I gonna need to do that manually?

I assumed that the game did this for me, so if I missed something, let me know. I would like to be able to play through the game with my own Pokemon, and if I need to train all of them to the same level, that would be nice to know.

no the ones where it does not scale yours up to and it only does that in a few colloseums and i dont even care about lol cause i have 5 lv 100s but still it does not raise yours

So basically, I need to level them all to the same level to have an easier time?

basicly but all you realy need are four strong ones like mine are tyranitar dragonite mewtwo and empoleon and each of them knows elemental atacks so i can beat practicly anything
