Cloning Glitch?

I have heard of one but how does it work, i read one that said put a pokemon in a box and then move it to another box then save and while its saving turn the game off and itl clone? does that work? does it work for any pokemon without messing ur game up? sry if this doesnt go here but im playing emerald soooo lol

It worked in Yellow, Blue, Silver and Crystal but it didn't work for my Ruby so I'm not exactly sure either.

Out of ruby, sapphire, & emerald, it works 4 emerald. Yes u can clone legendaries, I have 3 Kyogres, 3 Groudons, 3 of each Regi-, 3 Latias, & 4 Rayquaza. For the other games I've read about them being able to mess up but I have not read it 4 emerald.

The Glitch:
1. Go to Battle Tower in Battle Frontier
2. Go to PC
3. Make sure there are no pokemon in box 9.
4. Deposit(not move) the pokemon you want to clone to box nine.
5. Exit PC
6. Save
7. Withdraw the pokemon
8. Talk to woman at desk closest to PC
9. Challenge
10. Select Open Level
11. Select Pokemon (not the one you want to clone)
12. Right after it pauses before the game is saved, turn game off
13. Turn game on. The pokemon you wanted to clone is in your party and Box 9.
