Cheating At Nats? What do you think?

I keep seeing a whole bunch of people saying how some people were cheating at nats.
I do believe that some people did cheat. Some players in top 8. I am not gonna say their names, because i am not an ***.
The way i see it, alot of players would run 1 random card, example thestalos. It would not make sense to run that card in the deck. The player would run it so he could stack his deck at certain time.
I could run 1 Random Razia too, I could stack my deck when I would need it the most. Alot of cards you could be able to do that with.
Some players might cheat because they dont want to lose. They didnt plan to cheat at first.
Some players came plan to cheat. The players running 1 random card.

I am not saying anyone did cheat, i just think they might of.
So please do not lock my thread or flame it, I am not calling anyone out.

lmao, you mean the person that was caught on video tape and tried to buy it back before they could copy it and send a copy to ude. because that someone would put crush card in his deck backward so he could tell where it was, and when he was done suffleing and his opponent finished shuffleing he could always cut it to the top and win, along with othercards he needed. and the penalty was DQ'ed with out prize, for that someone who was caught cheating. yes, that was going on alot. and he meant not random as in ran in one's, so much as random as in would let me look in his deck to put another card backward so he could cut it to himself when i needed to. allowing for GOD topdeck after GOD topdeck, yea, alot of that went on at nats.

wow....to tell you i have a friend that is a magician...and that i learned how to stack cards from him...but i have my diginity as a player not to do it because i know what is wrong and right...even if i lose...knowing that i lose fair and square is totally ok with me...thats why i never look at my hand when im shuffling and i ask my opponent to cut my deck and make sure that everything is in place...stacking is really easy....and in pro hands its really hard to notice them doing it...

people that knows me personally knows that im the type of guy that gets crazy over people cheating...specially in yu-gi-oh....

lastly....how would he cheat when in nats the judge are beside you the whole time while your playing...and theres probably more than 50 judges there seeing the tournament goes clean and cheat free....

He stacked Crush Card upside down with Sangan, and he had 50+ people watching him and he was getting video taped by Chris Alamback. I thought that Alamback should have tried to trade the tape for a Crush Card. Emon was trying to buy it off him too. It really sucks though cuz he played really well (or cheated really well) the day before. I think he was just really nervous and not thinking cuz he got rolled the first game. His first two cards he drew before they stopped the game were upside down Sangan and Crush Card. But really, think how bad it would suck to go 10-0, T8, and not get and prizes. Emon should have known better.

Teching would be you play it against a certain match up, and most of the time you can search it out.
Raiza does not help against a match up, it could be used as a way to cheat.

Overall I think when just 1 of a certain tech card is found in your deck then it might be cause for suspicion. If its tech you won't run 1 in the main board, but keep them in the side and when you can side deck, you would side at least 2 copies in. Unless of course you only have 1 copy.

Several things:

First - the crush that Emon was using was mine so we had numerous conversations over the course of the two days of nats.

Second - I never met Emon before Sat. although I knew of him by reputation. We got together by a mutual friend so I have no other reason to defend him.

Third - I don't believe that he cheated. I was around him on both days. I have read several posts about what he does with sleeves. I can tell you that he tried to buy new sleeves on Sunday but they were out of the good sleeves. I offered him some of my randem sleeves and he took them. If he were cheating on Saturday and it was working - then why screw it up with changing to a brand of sleeves you are not used to using?

Emon's killer combination was trooper and machine dup not crush. Wouldn't you want that combo to be in your opening hand instead.

I don't know Emon that well but I can tell that I was impressed by his playing ability and his incite into the game. He is very intelligent and he knows the game well. No one except Emon truely knows the answer to the question about whether he stacked or not but his explanation to me was plausable and consistent with our conversations before the tournament started on day two.

Lastly - I think that UDE needs to address cheating on a whole so that the game doesn't become pro wrestling. I think that some people cheat and there are other people who rule shark which could be just another "legal" form of cheating. You get the judges to cheat for you and get a game or match loss which would otherwise be undeserved.

i think its about time for a ruling on deck cutting.

Rule: after your opponent cuts ur deck, you cannot cut the deck yourself.

This way this wouldnt be a problem.

the rule is that if your opponent CUTS your deck you CANT recut it your self but if they SHUFFLE more than 3 times when the deck is presented back to you, you are aloud ONE clean cut.

OK.. for all those curious to what happend this past weeknd let me explain.. read all if u want the info str8 from a real source.. no gossip here.. REAL TALK!!!

FRIDAY

we arrive.. wash up a lil and then proceed to enter the convention center.. we get there.. we are chillin.. we make a few trades.. play test a lil.. etc etc.. around 2:00pm after being there since about 8am we decide hey lets go upstairs to the hotel and playtest.. just the team members.. no one else.. the only exception was matt peddle.. we didnt wanna leave him with ppl who would lower his intelligence with all the idiotic questions.. so peddle comes along with us to the hotel room..

now the almost gettin banned situation.. we are walking past the food court and we see cruly sleeving his cards.. bones approaches him to say wassup curly and we all say ehy and continue to walk by.. we notice curly sleeving up his deck.. someone ask u runnin Ts deck.. bones jokingly says nope and grabs a card and begins to laugh.. now emon like hey how much u value that malicious and d draws and troopers.. u know the works.. afterall emon runs a vendor booth in southern california at frank and sons warehouse every wednesday (PLUG).. and curly tell him hey i aint interested.. jokingly bones says well then u aint gettin it back.. curly smiles and is like common bones i dont wanna chase u.. whateva so we keep it moving i was in front with kris and peddle having conversations and we proceed to the hotel room.. in the elevator bones goes oh **** i still got his card.. kris bring it back.. and then kris is like no.. etc etc..

we get to our room and we are still believe it or not in possession of this card.. a malicious.. so i am like yo chill man.. he gonna be a lil ***** and tell on us or something.. bring that **** back.. this is nats and i aint messing around.. whateva.. no one seems to wanna bring it.. and i at this point aint know bones was the one who initially grabbed it to place blame and make him bring it.. Peddle ends the arguing and says "guys i will bring it down when i go back.. i dont mind.." etc etc.. so we playtest for about a few hours at this point.. mainly discussion and good humor amongst teammates and peddle..

we GET THE PHONE CALL... Cesar calls me up on my cell phone and is like "bro u guys are banned from nationals.."" i am like huh wtf.. who said that and why.. he explains how curly said that we surrounded him to take his card.. the security officer said we practically mugged him without force and that he could pursue this and press charges.. and i am in shock at this becuz we are all under the impression that curly knows us and knows we aint takin nothing from him.. we afterall know him and bones used to playtest with him when they were at SJCs on the side with nothing else better to do.. so i am like woah wtf..

Peddle decides he will help me out and explain how he were gonna bring it back down stairs when he went down.. but curly is puttin the face.. the i feel violated and my life is in danger face.. he put on a show for the PES officials there and was like all nervous about pursuing it.. the PES officials said u have ur card back.. he apologized and u heard his explanation.. would u like for us to pursue this.. meanin calling authorities which would lead us into gettin banned from UDE since we damage reputation with UDE and the facility and also the ppl attending the event might not feel safe if we were around and accused of stealing..

moving on.. the PES official tell curly to think about it.. and get back to him.. curly has a mini conference with players and he has the water ballin in his eyes.. he isnt crying but he is puttin the i am scared that if i speak on it OD will hurt me.. and if i dont then oh well.. but i knew the truth.. at this point he was being a ****.. he began to develop selfish reasons to pursue the issue.. he wanted us to be out the tournament,, as proof just b4 we brought him the Malicious he told a few of the ppl in the area and the room that he was proud to have gotten OD banned from the tournament and that he just single handedly eliminated 5 CCVs from the tournament.. (we only have 2 at this point, dont know where he got 5 from.. afterall we won 4 and sold 2)..

so now that he is in this huddle of players.. one of my spies in the huddle tell me that he is acting on gettin us banned to scare us into giving him... GIVING HIM... TO KEEP NOW AND FOREVER, A CCV.. basically blackmail us.. i say to myself i knew he had hidden intentions and i guess its our fault for being lazy and not bringing it str8 back to him.. but hey what can we do at this point.. we argue our cases to one another and a few of OD friends come to the rescue and talk him out of pursuing the issue.. curly did admit that he wanted us out the tournament/banned but not to get the cops involved.. he felt that was over the top..

so PES stopped the investigation and curly told them that he was fine and that everything is settled.. so yeaahhhh no banning for overdose.. until Charsky and Ian have to jump in the situation.. i like both these guys.. but they had to do their jobs.. DARNNNN.. so yeah we have to tell them who stole the card otherwise we would all be pending investiigation and would not be able to participate in US Nationals.. so bonez didnt wanna make the team take the fall for his actions and told me to tell the UDE officials it was him and he was willin to take there penalty.. bonez is such a SOLDIER.. so charsky thanks us for our cooperation and bones ends up being banned for the national tournament.. poor bones.. he worked so hard for that invite.. took him almost all season.. its all good bones.. next year..

OD is ALLOWED TO PLAY.... CELEBRATION!!!!


Saturday

Long day for all the OD members.. tough beats etc etc.. Going into round 3 only Emon and Shane are still undefeated.. it was tough for us to take.. anyway.. i been recruiting for 2 member in the USA for the past 4 months under the radar.. i been throwing free agent names and names of players on teams that we believed would leave their respect team at the chance to join team OD.. among those players was a very special player.. and although i had been fighting for him to be added to the roster since SJC Houston.. most of my team was unaware of his skill and potential.. i had spent weekends in California and was able to see the potential in this kid.. i seen it the first time there and i seen more and more improvement at every one of my visits.. at SJC Houston i was totally fixed on adding this player.. i figured he be a shoe in but since my team didnt know him it was hard for me to get 6 out of 7 votes for him to be added.. i told him dont worry.. i will get u on.. i will make them see.. he was excited to have the chance to join team OD and i personally was excited at him possibly gettin on the team..

So who is this mystery player i speak of.. none other then ur current US NATIONAL CHAMPION.. ADAM CORN.. for those who put the omg they only added him cuz he won Nationals face.. take it off NOW.. anyone who was at the US NATIONAL TOURNAMENT saw what i did after round 3!!! i wrote on ADAM CORN himself (below his left ear on his neck).. "PROPERTY OF OD".. nothing to disrespect him.. i added him without my teams permission technically.. but i was really rooting for ADAM to prove it to the rest of my teammates that he had what it took to be on OD.. after every win i embraced him with hugs and cheers and after his one loss i was there to tell him u still got this.. Adam made it to day 2.. but my teammates were still not convinced becuz they still havent seen him in action.. I was a lil pissed off becuz i have been saying that he has potential and i really like this kids playstyle and knew he was good.. so i have to go to bed knowin the public will think we are adding for creds.. but oh well.. i know i added him after round 3!!

Just in case u guys were wondering why i wanted to add 2 players to the team.. well Bryan is plannin on quitting yu-gi-oh and so was Kris.. i say was becuz he at this point is unsure.. and from what i know bryan will play once in a blue.. we wanted to remain 7 strong and wanted to add some strong players.. same reason we added paul and shane and emon the year b4..

Emon makes Day 2 going undefeated.. Congrats to him..

Emon wins his first match very fast and i get to catch Adam playing Fili.. Adam wins and i keep tellin my team.. i am tellin u.. he is going to Worlds.. its in him..he got the IT factor.. he playtest alot with the better players in california (Emon and many C.O. players) and has gained amazing experience..

NOW THE DREADED TOP 8..

the night before while going over decklist in the hotel room.. we all have this dumbfounded look on our face when we see this "13 gauge monarch with jinzo deck".. we are like woah.. maybe they wrote the list wrong.. becuz i thought and so did anyone lookin at that list thought that gettin the frog was very important.. so that perfect card to search for treeborn should have been in that deck.. i am obv talking about the mother grizzly.. so we discuss how the only way he can get the frog is off the draw or to get itwith sangans effect.. now i am from the NY area and i know plenty tricks ppl use.. the one of two trick i can link to this guys deck is possibility.. i stress possibility..trick (1) look i run only 1 HOBBY LEAGUE card coincidence its SANGAN or trick (2) the marked frog (different sleeve, marked edges, etc etc).. i tell emon hey if u play this guy.. avoid shuffling his deck.. he says what the hell.. what if he stacks me.. i said listen.. if u dont shuffle his deck.. he cant self cut.. if he cant self cut he cant cut to the visible (and i mean visible to anyone lookin at his deck laying on the table) Hobby league SANGAN.. sooo they begin top 8...

Emon sits down.. and forgets our talk becuz he shuffles and his opponent self cuts.. and wins the roll and opens gm 1 with confiscation and treeborn frog and a nice number of monarchs.. cant be too sure on the numbers.. but Emon loses gm 1 convincingly.. now emon side decks.. emon finally remembers not to shuffle.. emon offers his deck to the opp and when his opp gives him his to shuffle emon refuses.. he lets it sit on the table.. the opp finishes with emons deck after emon reminds him to shuffle it face down after obv being upset with his gm 1 hand.. after emon gets his deck back emon makes a single cut of his opp deck.. and passes it back.. makin sure it never lifted off the table to take away his opp opportunity to self cut.. BUT the opp picks up his deck off the table.. looks at his deck, smoothens the sides of the sleeves out and then proceeds to make direct eye contact with table judge by asking him. can i make a final cut and does so while in mid course of askin the question.. emon immediately is upset and tell the judge i never lefted his deck.. and he wasnt allowed to cut.. jerome comes to make a rule and jerome issues a warning to emon opp.. jeromes tells both players to reshuffle and begin gm 2 over..

Emon was upset but got over it.. began to shuffle his deck and then offer it to his opp.. his opp offers emon his deck.. both players present back the owners with their deck.. they both make their final cut and begin gm 2.. emon draws his 5 cards and jerome stops the entire match and pulls emon to the side.. the crowd is left to wonder about whats going on..

so rumors start flowing through the entire convention center.. omg emon is DQed he was stackin his CCV.. there was the he stacked his opp frog to the bottom of the deck... there was the he bended the ccv to cut to it.. there was he flipped it over so he can cut to it.. all this right in front of jerome mchale.. are u kiddin me.. none of this happend... jerome stopped the game.. and pulled emon to the side.. they told him that when he self cut his deck he stared at it too long.. now although no markin of any sort were found on any card.. due to the fact emon switches sleeves for each day.. he was accused of cheating.. the term used was that his "actions were consistent with that of cheating".. emon ends up with a DQ with no prize.. emon was allowed to come to us after writing his statement etc etc.. the T.O. and Jerome determined that emon had looked at his deck too long b4 deciding on a final cut before beginning.. this is considered cheating by their standards.. they also said that he cut coincidently to a curved card in his deck.. WHILE READING THIS YOU MUST BE VERY CURIOUS OF THE NAME OF THIS MYSTERY CURVED CARD!! WAS IT A CRUSH CARD.. allow me to tell everyone his opening hand for game 2.. as he drew it b4 jerome stopped the match.. he opened in this order i believe.. brain control, call of the haunted, snatch steal, destiny draw and mystic tomato.. now u ask what cruve they saw.. the Hobby League curve.. my opinion it was coincidence that emon cut near a hobby league card.. no conspiracy there..

now gettin on this bended Crush Card.. who in the hell bends a crush card.. and will also like to restate that no markin was found on the sleeves on the deck check.. not to mention this crush card in question was not Overdose's Crush Card.. he borrowed this crush card and was told to be very careful with it.. so i am sure emon wont bend a card that valuable..

so why did emon get Dqed.. well it look like we can blame the way the hobby league cards bend.. emon likes to use the highest lookin rarity on every card he uses at a premiere event.. so he had a Hobby league sangan and 2 tomatos and heavy and mst and whateva else was released in hobby form that looks better then the original version.. but since his eyes gauged into the deck for what we are being told was too long.. he received the DQ and no prize reward..

Whether or not he gets banned from this point on.. we are not sure.. it will be a devasting blow to our team.. emon was one of the, if the THE biggest pick-ups in yugioh history.. and we would hate to lose him..

so to those who wanna believe well he was finally caught.. there is no way he can be that good.. think twice.. he is that good.. and i knew this.. everyone did.. he was good before the self cut rule.. he was a winner b4 the hobby league cards..

Several things:

First - the crush that Emon was using was mine so we had numerous conversations over the course of the two days of nats.

Second - I never met Emon before Sat. although I knew of him by reputation. We got together by a mutual friend so I have no other reason to defend him.

Third - I don't believe that he cheated. I was around him on both days. I have read several posts about what he does with sleeves. I can tell you that he tried to buy new sleeves on Sunday but they were out of the good sleeves. I offered him some of my randem sleeves and he took them. If he were cheating on Saturday and it was working - then why screw it up with changing to a brand of sleeves you are not used to using?

Emon's killer combination was trooper and machine dup not crush. Wouldn't you want that combo to be in your opening hand instead.

I don't know Emon that well but I can tell that I was impressed by his playing ability and his incite into the game. He is very intelligent and he knows the game well. No one except Emon truely knows the answer to the question about whether he stacked or not but his explanation to me was plausable and consistent with our conversations before the tournament started on day two.

Lastly - I think that UDE needs to address cheating on a whole so that the game doesn't become pro wrestling. I think that some people cheat and there are other people who rule shark which could be just another "legal" form of cheating. You get the judges to cheat for you and get a game or match loss which would otherwise be undeserved.

If it's true that Emon's opening hand did not contain the Crush Card Virus game 2, he's as good as exonerated (and the video should easily show that). If it was really the top card of his deck when he drew his hand for that game, that would be too great of a coincidence along side him staring at his deck.

But what's even more ridiculous is a deck with 16 tribute monsters making top 8 at Nationals. I can't imagine a deck that inconsistent going 8-2 fairly with those tiebreakers. After day 1, judges should've been watching that deck constantly, before and during every game. It would be a statistical anomaly for that deck to fairly go 10-3 for the day playing against so many Tier 1 decks (which I refuse to call that pile).

Edit: I also want to add that I don't like how UDE is handling all of this, completely hiding it from the people. UDE should be more firm against cheating and rulings, and make people aware of the severe penalties, rather than completely ignoring them (as presented on Metagame.com). My best tournament experience was when my opponent tried to ruleshark me in The Spoils because he was at a point in the game where he couldn't win, and he was given a poor sportsmanship warning. Yugioh needs more rulings like that to protect the people who are honestly trying to play a game, from the people who will win at any cost.

The only I can think of anybody cheating is by summoning a Gadget when you already have the corresponding colour in your hand (and your opponent doesn't know) and you pull out a different card instead, shuffle your hand and show the Gadget..

On the contrary, in a MAJOR tournament with hundreds of players and thousands of onlookers, with fame and prestige on the line, it's quite frankly EVERYONE'S business. If the Yankees had cheated in a world series game, I would think it would be VERY apropos to at least be able to know if they in fact did, and how they did. This stops others from doing the same, and brings a little bit of justice to the game. To say it's just "his business" and to "leave him alone" is ludicrous. Let's find out what actually happened so that it can't happen again.

Some ppl seem to think that this a new and it is not. A lot of players on the elite side of the game has cheated. They want to win and that means by "any means nessary".

A lot of players are shocked I cant believe someone would cheat at this game. Complete BS I would not doubt most of the players at Nats cheated to get there. It is that important to them to win, and if you think no one cheats at this game look at the history of this game and you will see a lot of big names.

The writer of this thread said he isnt a snitch, so arent you just as guilty as the one cheating. That is like seeing a murder and not report or try to help the person. This game is a business and about making money and they know who cheats, but if the cheaters are gone what happens to the game.

That is why the ban list favors certain deck types and certain cards benefit certain decks. Look at the history of the game we have gone from Chaos=Monarch=bazootrooper=machine otk=perfect circle. Then you have the random deck Cyberstein=rat tool box=six samarii=otk. So the game is shaped so the good players or decent players stay interested in the game.

If they were to apply the theory of Magic where certain sets cant be used ppl would quit yugioh. So back to the point this game has many cheaters, theives, and liars so dont be shocked at wha happen at Nats.

I wanted to quote overdose's long report so it would not take up to much space this way. it just seems to me like Overdose is trying way to hard to protect Emon from getting banned. I just hope Overdose realizes that they are good and they don't need a cheater on their team. And Emon's oponent couldn't of stacked if Adam Corn single cut his oponent's deck and he still almost beat him if it wasn't for the ripped morphing jar.And didn't somone on Overdose ask for a deck check on Emon's opponent like 3 times, they did and even tried to feel for a crd, but didn't find anything illeagal!

ok.. i was one of the ppl asking simon and frank to deck check emons opp in top 8.. the end result of the checkin was that they only saw sangan HL as a curved card.. simon then tells me.. at his local he used to discourage the use of HL cards but UDE told him that its how its printed up so not to discourage ppl from using them or something like that.. simon brought up the fact it was visible in the deck and UDE response was that unless a player gauges into that spot and makes the cut purposely to get that card its perfectly fine.. the player would not be accused of being cheating..

emon was supposively gauging into the deck to open up with a bent/curved card.. thought to everyone in the convention center to be crush card.. it just so happen that when emon self cut after his opp lookin at his deck, he ended up with the curved card.. the HL tomato.. so jerome pulled him to the side and penalized him for gaugin for the curved card.. what bothers me is that the deck emon was using had about 5-7 HL cards.. now in a forty to forty-one card deck.. there are high chances he opens with a HL card (5to7 out of 40 means almost every opening hand possibly).. so what if he didnt gauge too long or at all.. the fact that he still may have cut to a curve would result in his DQ.. i feel he would have been called no matter what HL card might have been in his hand.. its just real unfortunate..

emon is not only just a teammate.. he IS a friend of mine since my first meeting him at SJC North Carolina 05'.. he was my only loss that weekend on my way to the championship.. of course i will defend him..

and i told adam corn after it was annouced who his opp was to remember our talk in the room the night b4.. he was in the same room with OD gettin ready for top 16.. the talk was about not shuffling so that he cant cut.. I WOULD LIKE TO ALSO STATE.. his opp didnt get frog in the gms he controlled, however, adam did not any playable options in his hand.. and yes in gm 2 when adam ripped into morphing jar.. i looked at it to be justice served..

listen I feel like this Overdose if your boy cheated then have respect for others and yourself to fix the problem. You are going to defend your friend that is human nature because it is hard to accept the fact your friend can do wrong.

I have friends that have played EG and they felt he cheated. If the truth comes out that he did cheat then there is a mark on Overdoses record. A lot of ppl will feel that EG cheats so the whole team does, and I wouldnt doubt there is some truth to it.

You get caught in the moment and sometimes the competive spirit gets going. If it didnt occur then you really have nothing to worry about.

I'd say that it's possible that cheating goes on. In the instance of my local tournements, myself as a much lower rated duelist, do in fact, see cheating go on, mostly I feel because the playing feild is getting closer, and higher rated duelist(I.E., top 10 duelist) are in fear of loosing their rating to those of us that build very good decks, but are much, much lower rated, thus moving us up in the rankings.

lol, when i was watching Corn in the semi's. i overheard that some people on OD run two side decks, so when they don't get deck checked or are in t8, they have two options.

lmao.. yeah we said this.. but it wasnt for tournament moron... it was if we were to play for cards.. ppl try to use unfair decks all the time to win free cards.. what i look like entering a match for cards and my opp using some cheap otk.. especially after u agree not to use tricky deck.. playing for cards isnt sanctioned etc etc

i personally wanna know if he cheated.. i was unaware of a tape.. thats why earlier in the thread i was like wtf a TAPE... i want to see the tape.. so that i can fix any problem occuring on the team.. thats why i even asked to see it..

I believe the explanation for hobby league cards bending more is because they are more susceptible to humidity. If anyone remembers their old pokemon cards, I'm sure you would notice the curvature. Since Yugioh is sometimes conducted in a atmosphere with pressure and tension, the players tend to sweat. Now that there is more H2O in the atmosphere, the foil on the hobby league cards, which has a different design and I believe it has more foil on it with the design, will absorb those water molecules, which makes it bend. Due to this, I believe that Emon cannot have cheated, because natural bending on behalf of the card occured.

Humidity... Freshly sealed or not, theres almost nothing you can do to stop it I believe. The atmosphere affects cards in or out. Thats why if theyre heated up, or cooled down, they change. I'm thinking water got him DQ'd. :eek:

I Find it funny They Are DQ'ing him for getting a hobby league card.

Since it can apparently cause stacking, why does UDE Make the hobby league cards like that? It's their own fault?

I Remember when they made the "official" yugioh sleeves that said "yugioh tcg" or something like that on the back, and certain tournament organizers wouldn't allow the sleeves, Despite them being the "official" sleeves.

But Anywho, The Tape Should go up, And If Emon in fact did do something, he should be banned. If Evidence doesn't show anything, then he shouldn't be banned.

Cheating In UDE Tournaments rarely results in consequences, which is sad, because that is why cheating is so heavy in this game.

Atleast once every regional i see my opponent looking at my cards when cutting / shuffling, or doing the "i'm going to let you have this card" When they take the bottom card and put it on the top, and then they usually are looking at the card.

The Funny Thing is their are judges that do a good job of judging, They don't stand for cheating. However, most of those judges are despised (I Heard lots of critisism about Jerome Mchail's Judging, and i know people are dissaproving of one of my friends judging for MN Regionals.)

UDE Needs to kick it up a notch, if they want ppl to countinue going to SJC's.

It is Ude's Fault for making HL cards like that. They made it possible to cheat, but if Emon did cheat he should be banned.
I do not really like the if i Shuffle then you get to cut. I always shuffle their deck and i always pile shuffle mine. If i cut their deck then there it is possible for them to cheat by taking the chance of putting some good cards in the middle and me cutting it so they get 1 of those cards.
Why did they make it so the opponent gets a final cut if you shuffle. It doesnt make sense. Oh i make sure you cant cheat, but yet you still get another chance.
It does seem like the 14 tribute deck could cheat, to bad treeboirn frog was not HL, then you could really tell

The player could put one Banisher of the Radiant in his deck
When the opponent has a treeborn frog out on the field he could put banisher at the top of his deck, that way he does not have to worry about having banisher at bad times and can have it at the time of need.
He puts it in his deck so he can stack his deck if he neededs it to win.
It is pretty simply. And very easy to do.
I was saying that Raiza being a good card they could play 1 so when they need it they can stack it. If raiza is suck a good card you would not run just one. And the person can buy it because they are running Crush Card Virus.

That does answer your question. It means they may tape the duel, but cannot violate any rules: May not provide illegal advantages to a player(telling him opponent's cards etc.) There you go.

Kevin said we could not video tape in the Battle Dome so my friend was walking around and ended up at Emons table.......=/ anyway we were trying to tape the WHOLE top 16 Top8 semifinals and finals and put it on youtube but that didnt happen =/

When they returned Simon was holding a DQ paper and asked Emon to come with them. i sat and chatted with Jason Graber-meyer for almost 45 minutes while I was almost clueless on what happend. When They returned Jerome and Emon headed to the judges station and did'nt even stop to pick up his mat and deck, so Simon Choy packs everything up and tells me I am in T4. Afterwards I get a grueling look from Overdose and they try to say that I cheated by stacking treeborn(and they had the judges check my deck three times) and then my freind runs up to me and says that there was a dark black line through Emon's deck and then it appeared at the top

The new battle cry of anyone who ever wins a regionals, SJC or Nationals:

This really needs to be resolved. And ultimately if the cheating accusations are going to stop, it's going to have to happen that once a tourni gets down to the top 32 or so, there has to be a judge at every table observing every part of the duel, and part of the judge certification will be to identify deck stackers and card manipulaters.

I will reiterate the points that I made earlier in this thread. Emon handled himself well under the circumstances. I talked to him on numerous occasions on both days in addition to before and after the accusations were made against him. At no time did I see him cry although I did see him being outraged at the thought of being dq'ed. He was being accused of the very thing that he suspected his opponent of doing.

You can say what you want now that you would be strong or that you would handle it differently because it wasn't you that this happened to. It is easy to pick on someone who is down and make fun of them. Remember that it could be you one day.

Emon didnt cheat, he thinks his opponent was due to the hobby league sangan. He decided no to shuffle his opponent's deck so he could not cut the deck and stack sangan. Which he did game 1 and tried to do game 2.
