Mystery gift?

ok, in GSC, you talked to someone, and then you could mystery gift, but in ruby there is none. whats the deal?

Go to a pokemart. Click A on the white piece of paper on the counter. Type in "Link Together With All". When you restart the game, there will be a mystery gift option.

This mystery gift is different, however. You cannot use it to gain random items. It is only used for Nintendo Event island tickets.
