Called The Preliminary Ending!!, it sees Alexis in big trouble and Jaden encountering David.... and making a total spazz of himself.

By the sounds of the title, the actually tournament should be starting next time.

Additional Comment:

From what I can see, Alexis surrenders until to demand a rematch when the tournament starts and Jaden wants to fight David. Alexis mentions to Mackenzie that Jaden has a duel spirit. At the end the tournament beings.

I just don't the see the point of Yuki and Asuka dueling David and Reggie in the preliminary. I mean it's obvious that David and Reggie will make it to the real tournament so why bother show their decks now.

To introduce the Planet Series. My theory is that if this Manga doesn't end after this tournament saga, each villain/new important character will have his/her own one-of-a-kind planet card.

Jaden didn't duel David, Jaden wanted to but David refused because Jaden was a Slifer. As for Reggie Vs Alexis can you say Rematch? Still I agree that the manga will not end after this as there are possibily 5 planet cards not shown yet.

Additional Comment:

The English translations are up. Alexis tells MacKenzie about Jaden and Duel Spirits, which isn't a good thing. Also, the reason that Dave doesn't fight Jaden is because he isn't worth much points - a Ra is worth 5 Slifers. However, from what MacKenzie learned he'd might have reconsidered.
