Dumbest mistakes

List off all the dumbest mistakes you've ever made in any of the pokemon games.

I'll start with a mistake from Silver.

I tried to catch Ho-oh, but for some reason I ran away and then I saved the game, forever locking Ho-oh out of my reach.

A more recent mistake is from Emerald.

I was EVing Snorlax in SP.Def when I checked its stats and found out that it had Pokerus. Pokerus doubles EVs (for those who don't know) and I had no idea how long Snorlax had it for, so I had to redo the whole thing.

Not realizing that Wi-F-/Trading would have allowed me to get the national dex and thus transfer Master Balls before confronting Azelf, most useful of the Psychic Trio...but that's D/P

For R/S/E: EVing my excellent IV Rayquaza incorrectly, and them leveling him to lv 100, making it impossible to salvage.

I've done lots of stupid things. :D

Prolly the worst is when I've done like 2-3 hours of stuff and then mess up someting bad and shut off the game, only to realize I never saved.

Ever done that?

lol. If you ever played for a while and had to shut off and lost everything you did then that is a definite poopie....though I doubt that 'poopie' is the actual word that would escape your lips...

Of course of course...same thing happened to me more than once. But I think the time I eved 4 pokes only to have the power die...definitely said something not necessarily along the lines of "poopie"

Almost all of the shinys I encountered were killed by me and then I realise it was a shiny. *sigh* I'm so slow. ><

Also, after 3 weeks of searching for Latios, I finally caught it but battery died. ><"

Go through 2-3 hours of catching feebas' on Ruby, messing up on three of them with pokeblocks and then turning it off without realizing we saved before starting the hunt

I had a Milotic/Feebas mess up...I spent all this time getting a good Feebas and EVing it and leveling it up to a level 100 Milotic only to realize that I wanted one with Mirror Coat and having to do it all again.

That's even worse than mine. o.0 I hate it when batteries run out that's why I use the ones that charge and specifically for Game Boy Advance. Charging while playing ensures safety.

My daughter almost nuked my Diamond game. She was playing it and decided to start her own game---she thought she could have her own save file like in other games she plays---caught her just in time.

I left my 350 hr Crystal and 120 hr Gold in a bag in my car in the dead of summer and all the data was erresed from them cause of heat. *tear*

When I first got Emerald I stayed up forever to beat the Game, without saving ( 4 -6 Hours ) Then my younger bro came, knocked the GBA out of my hands and the batteries fell out, I had to start over from the begging.

That's even worse than saving your own game played for around 300 Hours by accident and you having noone to blame but yourself, which is what happened to me. ><"

The Pokemon Games should have more save slots. ><

Ha...I've gone through 2-3 gyms, saved up tons of money, and lost, then turned off my game before remembering I hadn't saved since right before choosing my first pokemon.

the saddest part is i've done this more than once.

At least 4 times, probably.

Well, I had another dumb mistake. I was breeding Bagons at around 3 am this morning and I fell asleep while playing. When I woke up, the game's batteries had died. Of course I did not save, so I had to do all the walking and hatching all over again.

Once in my old red version, I got the masterball. I had never went surfing or fishing before so when I went surfing for the first time, I saw a tentacool. I thought it was a super rare cool looking pokemon so I used my only masterball on it and saved the game. I was only like 7 years old at the time. My brother, who was like 10, was so pissed at me. I saved the game too.

I did the same thing with a Snorlax one time. It was on my old blue version, and I was out of other pokeballs, so I wasted my only master ball to catch a Snorlax, then saved. I ended up catching Mewtwo with a pokeball(literally, pokeball, the cheap one) though, so things worked out...

More recent mistake... I was EV training my Gyarados to have maximum special attack(I'll list the set later), and I accidently fought and killed a Skarmory with my Sceptile that I was training with. It was only 1 EV, but I had already done all the other EV parts for it, so... yeah. I lost about 10-20 SAtk EVs. Not too much, but hey, I think it deserves a mention.

Left my game on all night several times... luckily, it still had good power(in the green) when I woke up... guess I'm just lucky there.

Killed a legendary dog once... after SEVERAL hours of playing without saving... so I had to turn it off there.

Game screwed up once, and I lost my lvl 83 Feraligatr(Silver) that I had trained WITHOUT more than a few rare candies(I'm LAZY, so that was a HUGE accomplishment for me... currently have a lvl 81 metagross though... on emerald)... I cried(I was young), because I had lost a LOT of time on that game... went to sleep crying... restarted the game the next morning. Same thing happened again a little while later... I turned the game off and back on... and my old save file was back(not the one with the Gatr)... imagine what could have been saved if I had just waited!

Was leveling up a friend's Pikachu once on Pokemon Yellow, and it got to the point where it was about to learn Thunder Wave... I had thought that it was an extremely powerful move(one of the first times I'd ever played pokemon), and replaced his Thunder move with it... I know that's actually a good thing (Pikachu[Modest] @ Light Ball... T-Bolt, HP: Grass, T-Wave, Sub... y'know) now, but back then, I had no idea, and totally screwed him up. Thank GOD I didn't save...

Traded my old Shiny Gyarados(Silver version-the one that you can catch easy) for a Xatu...

so many more things.

The Gyarados I was talking about earlier is one I'm trying to work on ingame for my Emerald Battle Frontier team. Here it is-

Started pokemon diamond took me 100 hours into play to get 7 shinies not turned off yet got all legenderies that were possible to obtain then get national at 175 min in then capure shiny giratina but my eyes were becoming color blu=iind and i SWEAR that it was green then BOOM game turns off Supa bad luck i know man it sucked

Once, I EV Trained the following to make what would have been one hell of a dragon team. I EV trained and got it to level 100 on Emerald.

- Dragonite
- Aerodactyl
- Charizard
- Flygon
- Salamence
- Dragonite

I hadnt saved since I first started the EV training process. I litterally stayed up for 2 and a half DAYS doing it. After finishing the LAST DRAGONITE, I feel asleep.














Batteries died....

I have yet to play Emerald since then...
