Well, for me, Hinata is more fun to use.

It's not like it would matter to with begin, because each character has their positives and negatives.

I'm better with Sasuke than I am with Itachi. :D

Anbu Kakashi - young lightning is a great technique..it hardly ever misses and it does a lot of damage
Kakashi - customized to use young lightning, and pumped up
Shikamaru - he's not great but he's my best character in GNT2 so I like him (not a logical reason, I realize)

Naruto - because next to Kakashi he's the one I've customized the most...

1.Kiba-For some reason I'm really good with him

2.Kankuro-I like him because his attacks are long range and he's faster than gaara. Manji shot and puppet paralysis are awesome

3.TenTen-I increase ninja tools in customization and she can throw 7 shuriken/kunai/knife things

4.Itachi-Who doesn't like tsukuyomi?...Unless it's used you

5.Haku- He can throw 3 needles now, and 1000 needles of death lasts longer

1. Sasuke: I built him to be the fastest character. There's nothing like stealing your opponent's moves.

2. Kakashi[Regular]: Copy Ninja Rule.

3. Itachi: If he could copy moves with his Sharingan then he'd take the top spot. But he can't.

4. Tsunade: She's my powerhouse with maxed atk and almost maxed chakra and decent speed.

5. Sakura: Same as Tsunade except different jutsu.

1) Itachi: He's my favorite character in the Narutoverse, so I naturally had to use him. I hardly ever pull off Tsukuyomi, however. Once people see that I'm using Itachi, they go into an "Oh noez, itz Weasel Man!" mode and try to keep their distance. I usually have to fall back on Shadow Clone Smash until I can get in close and set them up for a Tsukuyomi.

2) Tsunade: Another one of my favorite characters from the manga/anime. I love how her Secret moves allow her to attack from a distance. The problem I usually have with Secret Moves in the previous game is that you had to get in pretty close annd hit triangle until you reach the level you want and then attack. you had to be very good at it, or the opponent would either just counter it, or run away. The ability to send the other player flying accross the stage is just made of awsome aswell. :P

3) Kakashi: Once again, his Secret Move is easy to use. Well, Raikiri anyway, since it strikes the opponent so low. Kakashi is just an easy character to get used to because his moves flow so well.

4) Sasuke: I was best with him in Ultimate Ninja, but I after using him almost non-stop in that game, I get kind of bored when using him for to long.

5) Temari: Her range is so awsome it's not even funny!. All of the sand siblings are fun to use, due to their long range, but Temari is the one that clicked for me.

Also worth honorable mention are Hinata and Awakened Hinata.

Just got this game. The character I'm mostly building on is Itachi, currently with Feather Illusion Jutsu and Anbu Kakashi's Chidori. The next one's I'm working on are

For me:

1. Kakashi -

I got him customized to use Young Lightning and I kept in his Earth Style: Fanged Pursuit Jutsu. He's overall good and I increased his speed as well.

2. Third Hokage (Sandaime) - Fear the mighty stick!

He's an overall good character to play as, plus he's pretty cool.

3. Itachi -

He's solid, his Jutsu are just too cool for me to customize. I blame his
MS on that one.

4. Tsunade -

All around good character, plus she can gain back her health.

5. Guy -

He's amazing and his fighting style is flawless. I just love it when he opens the Gate of Joy for ownage!

1.Naruto Uzumaki - My fav. character. I love his techniques to like Rasengan and Summoning Jutsu. I just love using Bring Down the House Jutsu with him :p

2.Rock Lee - Hey you gotta love him. Leaf Hurricane is sweet and so are his specials.

3.Orochimaru - Super damage and I customized him to have high attack. This man is BEAST with high attack and speed.

4.Jiraiya - It's Jiraiya and he's a pervert not much else to say other than Bring Down the House, Needle Jizo, and Toad Mouth Trap/Rasengan :D

5.Kisame Hoshigake - Cool sword that steals chakra. That's about it.

ok lets start with an opening statement that must be acknowledged. For those of you who keep ranting about secret attacks such as narutos rasengan need to stop because secret attacks have the least impact on how "good" a character is. Also. kankuro does anything but suck. and here is my list a reasons why.

the third hokage- Amazing taijutsu with the enma staff and his mud wall jutsu makes for an outstanding def/off move.
kisame- well plane and simple chakra + water shark jutsu = game over.
neji/byakugan hinata-umm rotation + taijutsu.
itachi- i mean his taunt dodges projectiles and his taijutsu is so fluent plus hes itachi.
Shino- My favorite character, his insect pillar and paralysis are cheap, sure hes slow but with his attacks hes good.
Honorable mention:
Kabuto- 1 word, sleep
Ten-ten- 1 more word, weapons
Kankuro- Crow, I choose you!

ok, but there are somethings a contest against. they are that kisame is extremely good but really only if u abuse his water shark jutsu, the third is probably my second best and ur right the enma attacks are good but by far his mud wall is his greatest asset, i agree w/ your oppinion about itachi, however the whole clones/warping added into his taijutsu is really god not to mention his taunt gives te invisibility effect, taijutsu narutos air throw is great but its better when combined w/ dynamic entry and can you further elaborate on sasuke for b/c im sitting here clueless

Taijutsu naruto: Successfully complete Story mode (4 Arcs). Then, speak to Maito Gai at the marketplace. Go to the next city and buy a Maito suit (100.000 Mon). Go to the next screen and defeat Gai to unlock Uzumaki Naruto (Maito suit).

byakugan hinata: Successfully complete Story mode (4 Arcs). Then, speak to Hyuuga Hiashi outside the arena, then at the rooftop. Next, speak with Hinata at the training grounds. Go to the arena and defeat Neji to unlock Hyuuga Hinata

never really thought anyone would agree with me on shino.
im also a really big fan of garaa.ppl say he's slow, if you know how to use him he can be very fast.

but to me kisame seems like a big character(in big i mean its hard to pull off some of the attacks i want to use)

My top 5 favorite characters are as follows:

1) Naruto
Most of his standard attacks have enough range to either hit from far away or just get you out of range of an opponent's substitution into an attack. His summoning jutsu has 4 stages, and Rasengan is pure win. His Sexy Jutsu has good range, but his Demon Wind Shuriken jutsu is just too easy to block(although comboable). Plus when you win, he always says something cheesy.

2) Kankuro
His jutsus are top-notch. Poison is your friend and counters are obv. awesome. He also has long reach.

3) Itachi
Amazing speed, reach, Tsukuyomi, easy-to-set-up combos, and arguably the best jutsus make him a top-contender. No surprises here.

4) Neji
First off, I gotta show Rotation some love. It nullifies several jutsus(and sometimes even breaks through them), is great when you corner someone, and can block secret techniques and rushes. Second level Byukugaan is pretty sweet as well. Overall a great character to use against upper-tier opponents.

5) Tsunade
Taunting. Her taunt rules-- use it. Additionally, her Super Heel Drop jutsu is fun to combo or just spam close range. Lastly, her final secret technique puts you in regen status(albeit age status afterward). This, combined with her taunt, make her an extremely fun character to play as.

Honorable mentions go to Kakashi for first level secret technique Sharingan and Sasuke for being all-around good(but without enough range for me. Some of his normal punches sometimes miss. oO). Jiraya and Nine-Tailed Naruto throw frogs.
