Yes, Itachi has beaten up Orochimaru before. Not only that, Sasuke killed Orochimaru and Itachi can beat up Sasuke pretty badly.

Is there any question that Itachi wouldn't own Orochimaru 1 on 1. Orochimaru sucks , he can't compare to the great mangekyou sharigan. I give Orochimaru two minutes to survive. Anything longer is a surprise.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, bringing reinforcements beforehand is wrong unless Itachi is allowed to bring Kisame. Yes, summoning (insert name here) with that jutsu before the match starts is called recruiting reinforcements.
