If I were to use IRS which cards are acceptable to make this work? I know already that it has to be the last item to occur.. so far I only know of Maurading Caption that can do this but are there other cards to utilize IRS?

you can use IRS with any card that special summons a monster if that summon is the last thing to happen

like using premature burial, call of the haunted (as chain link 1), book of life, etc.

I think "Book of Life" can work as the Special Summon and the removal of an opponent's monster from the Graveyard are deemed to happen at the same time, as indicated by the word "and" in the text "...and remove from play...".

Hence cards like "Torrential Tribute" do not miss their timing and neither would "Inferno Reckless Summon".

Here's a link to an old thread of mine where this was discussed.

don't forget that IRS won't work in the damage step. This means that certain searchers (Shining Angel, Masked Dragon) won't combo with IRS.

Hey how would this senario work?
Player A: prematures a 1500 atk monster
player B: Bottomless trap holes the monster
Player A: Chains with IRS
What happens? does Player A search and then BTh kills all? or what?
I realize this is not the best question in the world, but it never hurts to know the answers.

BTH would kill all.

Just use Marauding Captain + Lily + IRS.

Incorrect.

"Bottomless Trap Hole" is only able to destroy the monster or monsters that triggered its activation. If you chain to BTH with "Inferno Reckless Summon", any monster(s) Special Summoned by IRS will NOT be destroyed by BTH.

BTH will only destroy the 1 monster that was initially Special Summoned by IRS.

However, you should also keep in mind that as the turn player, you have priority to activate a Spell Speed 2 or higher card in response to the chain resolving first. So you would choose to activate IRS first, and your opponent would chain with BTH. Because of this, if you pass priority without activating IRS and your opponent also declines to respond, then you have missed the timing to activate IRS in response to the Special Summon.

Y'learn something every day.

And memo333, your opponent is almost guaranteed to have a monster out.

unless they suck. or have a bad hand.

I figured playing D.D guide with IRs. Summon D.D give it to your opponent and then S.S another monster and use IRs. That way you know they 99% won't have a guide in thier deck.
