I know it is a little early, and that score has already planned out their next release, but I was wondering what new cards and dynamics you guys would like to see added to the game in the next few sets.

well I hope everything remains balanced, and there is no power creep that makes older cards obsoulete.

Yeah but what new card concepts or new rules are you looking for. I for one would like to have cards that allow for certain characters to work together to defend or attack. It would make for interesting combos. If anyone has played MS War (really old gundam wing card game) they know what I'm talking about.

I really don't know I like they way Score has it now, theres really no need to change.

No, No constantly changing rules. it's what I hated about DBZ... I mean ... every set you had to reread the whole rules and that turns people off.

But a card that has an effect like "If your party consists purely of hollows, when attacked by a soul reaper you can defend with two hollows that have the same stat as the attack"
I think a card like that may be interesting.
I dont mean rules but card effects that add new dynamics to the game

Sounds like a good idea, however they might pull it off just be patient, if they make tiny tweaks to the rulebook, I'm fine with it, if they change half the rules each set, forget it >_>

Yes, I agree that basic rules should stay the same. Nobody wants a new game after each set. I was just suggesting one type of card I think would be interesting. That was the point of this thread was to see what cards others would like to see. Maybe what new characters or guardians etc.

Techniqal rules begins exspanded upon is a given. I'm just against complete rules over hauls every set.

The Player who goes first, Does not draw card that turn.
I don't know if this will be add-ons for Monthly Rule
(reminds me old Dot-hack game, Great game)
The future cards I would like to see is EVENTS that change Energy 1 turn.
Ichigo is the only Guardian I can play to bring out my Ultra Rare
Ichigo & Rukia. I know the Guardians were balanced with 20 energy's.
Will my Request for this type of card Break the Game?
I would like to see double one type energy 1 turn.
also return any players energy to Side Board (Remove event card from game)
How about Rule to use Guardian Cards as Proxy's if you have one original card
in Deck. ( make use of card than just sitting card box, plus help gamers on Budget) Post your thoughts.....

That is not a onthly rule but rather a rule that was supposed to be in from the get go.

I would have liked to see energy cards that counts as 2 energies, instead of just one. But as a high rarity so people could not have abused the card, with 30 2-count energy card side-decks.

NO! NEVER! That's a double edged sword. You print that obviously broken card but make it extremely rare to only have people complain not only about the card it'self but the fact that it's hard to get.
Sorry but no, if you want exceleration then it'd have to be balanced like shattered shaft. We might see something else that does something like that but this is something game designers really have to watch out for.

Yes I agree that I do not want it to be a rich man's game. If something like that is made it will have to have a pretty bad downside as well.

no it will break the game, if you did that ppl will be getting high cost characters out and it will make the smaller cards obsoulete.

I hope so too, but I do think that something like that will happen...
Why? A couple reasons. First, the sets have to follow the storyline in the Anime. Everyone gets stronger as the anime goes on, so you'll most likely see more powerful versions of Guardians, Characters, etc. Also, Score will need to have powerful new cards that are better than the previous cards to attract customers. I think you'd agree with me here that a lot of TCG players dont want to buy equally powered new cards.
Like every TCG, new sets can bring about new strategies, new decks, in a nutshell, new ideas. This opens up strengths and weaknesses for decks that have been around longer. I've been hearing about how powerful "Hollow Swarm" decks are and how good Menos Grande is. Most likely, the new set will offer some cards that could put a stop to those kind of decks. Its just like what happened with Naruto. In the beginning Fire/Water was the best combination, not a lot could stand up to it except, well, Fire/Water. Now, it is still pretty good, but there are so many ways it can be killed in a game.
I'm just saying you'll most likely see some powerful cards next set that could blow away some present-powerful cards. The key is to make those new cards have weaknesses too. A lot of card games *Cough*Yugioh*Cough* fall into the trap of having overpowered cards. Hopefully, Bleach wont do the same thing, and from what I've heard about this game, it probably wont.

well I don't think they have to make the soul society Ichigo stronger then the Ichigo in the first 20 episodes, the game dosent have to match just like the anime and I hope Score relizes that.

I was thinking along the lines of evolving Zanpaku-to. To use the second or third form of one's zanpaku-to, the sword's previous form must be attached to a character. Perhaps Score has plans similar to my own idea for the second expansion. If anything I would like to see more character cards with the Animal trait. Animals rule.

I think Komamura is probably gonna earn the Animal trait in the next set, hes totally kick ass next to Tousen, which I hope he gets a guardian, I so want :(

I like that idea but "evolving" your items which sounds too much like Duel Masters and Pokemon, but maybe if each individual form of someones Zanpaku-to gave a boost to the character it was equipped to and a greater boost if they also had the other forms of Zanpaku-to equipped to them might be a good idea. Or perhaps it could go like evolving but I think enhancing sounds a lot better in my opinion, perhaps the first form of a Zanpaku-to after a few turns or such could be depleted/removed to be replaced by the next form of Zanpaku-to with a greater boost and so on and so forth.

I Would like to see these cards be brought out in future Sets.
Wonder how Score will print them?
1. Grand Fisher's- Girl (thing attached to his tail or Tongue)
2. Young Ichigo, (smiling with mother)
3. 3 small kids (episode 7) attacked by centipede Hollow
4. Mod Ichigo (Kon inside, had some killer moves, fearless)
5. "Fight with pride" (scene with Ukitaki)
6. Condemed Hospital
7. Demi-hollow (bound chained to Hospital)
8 Renji's Shades
9. "Taped to back of Toilet." (Kon)
10 " Don Kon'onji's Cannonball (Classic)
11. Mit-bro (skater who knocked over flowers)
12. Flux body Rukia (fighting Renji)
What do you think, What is your wish list to make these cards?

Actually, the word "released" as used in the anime better describes the effect. The greater boost of which you speak may need to be restricted to "use only when you attack" or "use when you defend". In this way the cards are not too broken. I did borrow the idea from Duel Masters, creating stronger cards is always fun.

Effect: You take no power damage in a battle if your opponent's attacker has a lower energy cost thean your defender.
That would be freakin' sweet.

Yes I agree with the no mind energy you need the additional power, its not because of a later set but because he cant run tons of cards. His effect is a little broken though. I would say maybe 2 less power damage.

Zaraki should have more Spirit Energy than anything else (that's if he's made into a Guardian).
I would really like to see how Score does Bankai. Oh, it'll probably be something like:
Itchigo Kurasaki, Tensa Zengetsu
X Mind
X Body
X Spirit
Cute | Good | Male | Soul Reaper
[This card can only come into play by discarding one in-play "Itchigo Kurasaki" on your side of the field.]
When this Character comes into play, search your deck for one "Zengetsu" Item or Character and put it into your hand.

Rough guess, but I sure would like to see a Bankai Itchigo. I can't wait to play Soul Reapers. XD

Bankai could come in the form of an event that could double the character's highest stat or something, but there'd have to be some draw back.

I think it will be an item. You'll probably have to discard the shikai from it's proper character.
Ex:
Tensa Zangetsu
This card can only be attached to an Ichigo attached with Zangetsu. When this card enters play remove from play Zangetsu. Increase the stats of the character attached with this card +5.

That'd be good for flavor but mechanicly and in practise... not that good. We may see bankais featured on other cards but for some reason I'm fairly confident Bankais will be the sideboard card for Bleach. It just fits what the bankais are. They augment the weilder and in this case, the gaurdian.

(may have misread the thread, if this is wrong sorry...)
this is more of a gameplay idea than a card idea, I would love to see only being able to declare 1 or 2 attacks from each stat per turn.
for example, if I have 5 characters out with strength, and you have none, i shouldnt be able to hit u 5x directly just because we are mismatched on stats... like you should be able to declare only 1 strength attack per turn, 1 fortitude, 1 quick, etc... forcing more strategy into the attacking part of the main step.
however I have only a few weeks experience with the game, and these are only my initial thoughts.
i would also like to see a card type similar to the "Sensei Deck" card, and "Sensei Deck" game mechanic from the original DBZ Mechanic. A good thing for this would be Squad 1-13 =D represent ur squad yo!
*edit for byakuya Kuchiki* there will be at least one, remember when kenpachi and Gin met up with Byakuya?
im betting: Byakuya - Antagonized or something like that, prolly a low cost byakuya involving rukia again...

Sideboards would be great, but it wouldn't happen for a few sets from now. Until then it forces players to use tech in thier deck and not depend on a side board to win games.
