Shocking Moments in Ru/Sa

Ok, this shocking moment just happened to me right now. I had to wait until I beat Winona to get Fly and then proceed to get a Meditite to evolve into Medicham, to breed for the Elemental Punches on an Abra I'm planning to have. I caught a level 27 Male Meditite at Mt. Pyre, flew to Dewford, caught a female Abra, then used this trick. You go to Verdanturf and run back and forth between the route to the right and the town. You do this for 30 seconds or so and then try to fight trainers on that route. This only works for 5 trainers though: The two breeders, the two Triatheletes and the double battle people.

Anyways, I went on and deposited all Pokemon except my Meditite, Lairon and Camerupt. (The other 3 Pokemon were Ziggys so I could pick up some treats along the way ;))I was planning on using Lairon to switch Lairon in as soon as the battle started, and take out Meditite, so Meditite still gets experience. My Lairon was at lvl. 40 and I didn't think it would evolve into 45 so I thought I had a bit of work planned out ahead. So then the moment arrives. My Meditite reached lvl. 37 and at the end of that battle my Lairon reached lvl. 42.

The evolution theme starts and Meditite evolves into Medicham. I press start to go fly to Fallarbor to heart scale some punches, but suddenly my LAIRON IS EVOLVING AS WELL! It evolved into Aggron and I was like "...when did THIS happen?! :O" and was really shocked because I was SURE he evolved at lvl. 45.

Well, post some of your shocking moments you had in Ruby or Sapphire (btw I was playing Pokemon Ruby).

me manectric him a fighting pokemon (i think it was meditititate)
me 10 HP and paralyzed him almost the same hp (both our last pokemon)
i remembered that i had not been to a pokemon center in a long time so i had now idea where i would start from if i didn't win (plus didn't have fly yet)
i decide to use quick attack and the manectric paralyzes i said S*** he then uses high jump kick and then misses he "keep going and crashed" losing the little HP he had
i thought i was done for

Yeah it does evolve at 42. Any online pokedex will tell you that.

I just love it when the stupid trainers use physical attacks on my Manectric and get paralyzed due to Static. I wish the AI in that game was a little bit more skilled.

Once, when I was charging my game boy and playing it a the same time, I touched the little metal screw on the battery plate. Now *that* was shocking.

Well, this isn't a miracle, just confusion. I was in a 'tough' battle with a friend, and the last hurdle in his team was Rayquaza, which I had caught for him. My Xatu used Psychic and one more would faint ol' Ray. But since my Kyogre was out (Since he used Groudon and I was mainly using my 'Lv. 50' Club team it only seemed fair.) so it was raining constantly. Rayquaza used Thunder and I thought that was that was it, since the Rain Dance+Thunder combo. But it missed and I won. At first we thought it was a glitch but I quickly remembered Ray's ability Air Lock. It was simply luck and Ray's own undoing. Boy did I feel silly.
