what kind of volcanic deck are you planning to make? a burn based on or a doomfire otk based one?

burn, lots of burn, i just wantr at least one doomfire since it will help out since it is a good trump cards

right now the strategy that i have been going through with the deck is destruction of the opponent's monster(or stopping their attacks while they take damage) and several burn cards to deal damage each turn.

it is not supposed to be onesided on strategy so i will not try it that way

why not testout lava golems? the put in this card

another suggestion i can make is run magic cylinder, dimension walls and ceasefire over masked of the accursed, nightmare wheel and pricess of tsurugi.

maybe i will remove one gaia soul, but four tribute monsters causes bad draws. one thestalos could be good, but i worry not of hand quantity, but damage, i can attack with gaia sould and activate kurenai before it dies.

i am also wondering about uria, the lord of searing flames, it is a 0 attacker so it works with blaze, and kurenai can quickly deal a lot of damage, plus it can prevent the opponent from using bottomless trap hole.

if u are making a volcanic deck then u have to have 3 volcanic rockets and at least 2 card traders for the shell trader combo

i use volcanic shell for the card itself, and i use every card i draw, so card trader doesn't work for me

the rockets are absent in my trade stock, so until i het them, an extra blaze and tri-blaze will take their place.

but imagine they are there in place of a blaze and tri-blaze

plus i would rather use uria, and not hamon.

tooo random...

for instance you are convinced that your llab will stop opponent who has used his mst, you give him lava golem next turn revive malicius then drop stratos for instanse.. or some samurai will remove it.. then sure you have dimension wall etc.. but it wont last in the long run... the only good thing you got going with having the golem in the deck is the spiritual fire art combo..

and why uria :S?

i can tribute the two monsters on the opponent's deck, then activate blaze accelerator to destroy the opponent's monster

i also use nightmare wheel and shadow spell to stop attacks from lava golem. believe me, i would only tribute the two monsters if those monsters are stronger combined, 2 1500's

uria is an interesting card, right now side decked( i need a second for it to work) when summoned, i can use priority to destroy a spell or trap, stopping the opponent from activating bottomless trap hole, i then can attack for game, if i cannot summon him, i ditch the card for blaze accelerator

I really like the idea of combining Volcanics with Uria. If you were to do this though, here's what I'd do:

+2 Uria (after all, you can pitch one with Blaze Cannon. You won't be able to summon all of them, but having the option to discard one isn't always a bad thing.)
+3 Card Trader (The Shell/Trader combo is broken. Believe me, and look at the deck I am going to ask you to look at when this post finishes)
+ 2 Ordeal of a Traveller (More continuos traps means a better chance for Uria, as well as being one of the better stall options for continuos burn creaturs like Solar Flare.)
+2 Pole Position (Gives protection to your large Volcanics, like Doomfire and Uria, as well as being able to remove opponent's creatures with one of the next added cards)
+1 Magic Cylinder (2nd best burn card in the game can also save your creatures, unlike Dimension Wall)
+1 Pot of Avarice (Shuffle shells and Scattershot for reusing)
+1 Giant Trunade (Kill off opponet's Pole Position Creature, as well as clear the field for Uria or Doomfire)
+1 Wild Fire (Keep your large Uria/Doomfire safe w/Pole Position and kill off all thier creatures with this, it's a better Dark Hole for this deck)
+1 Solar Flare Dragon (better chance of getting a lock with 3)
+2 UFO Turtle (search out shell, sprite, and SF Dragon)

+16 cards, 5 Creatures, 6 Spells, 5 Traps

-1 Shadow Spell (not needed)
-2 Dimension Wall (Better traps for the deck were added above)
-1 Des Counterblow (see above)
-2 Spiritual Fire Art (Difficult call, basically, I needed more room)
-1 Heavy Storm (You devote a lot of resources to on field continuous cards, making this uneccessary)
-1 Level Limit Area B (More offensive cards are stopped by this, Gravity Bind is enough)
-1 Lava Golem (Not necessary)
-2 Gaia Soul (I put a lot of thought in this one, but it conflicts with the my ideas)
-1 Wave Motion Cannon (Burn isn't main part anymore)
-1 Ceasefire (Another hard choice, but I wouldn't use it)

-13 Cards
7 traps, 3 Creatures, 3 Spells


That's a preliminary build. Since I'm not too familiar with Volcanic creature effects outside of Shell, Scattershot, and Rocket you may want to consider switching a few out for things like Sangan or Reaper.

thank you cubone, i will think this over, although right now my deck works pretty well, i will probably make your suggestions my side deck

pole position is a very difficult card to use.

i like dimension wall because it does not negate the attack, so the opponent can attack with wildheart and die(i always thought of adding magic cylinder)

ceasefire is very complicated for me

des counterblow, okay card and combined with dimension wall can give the opponent a low advantage(i always see a 1200 points as being a +1).

gravity bind is never enough, and the weakness of this deck is wildheart, maybe i will run swords.

pot of avarice is tricky for me, but maybe

card trader kind of isn't my style, but i have used it with reckless greed and jar of greed for good effect

Dude, it's Endphase. I just happen to look a little like Cubone :cool:

Anyway, I understand your reasoning. This deck plays a very different numbers game than my Rocket Gadget deck. Anyway, if you are looking to make minor, burn based changes, let me recommend The Transmigration Prophesy and Chain Strike for the deck. Going by your above logic, if you have single card that deals 1200, you +1 your opponent. Running as many chainables as you do, I don't see why you wouldn't run a card that averages 1200 minimum per effect. T-Prophesy plays mean tricks with your Volcanic Shells and your opponent's Destiny Monsters and Treefrogs, so it's another suggestion

ironically i am about the only one who plays destiny heroes in my local, and none play netdecks except a new guy.

i will think about chain strike maybe, but it is like i have to change the deck slowly or completely, so i will find out if it is good in my deck.

transmigration prophecy doesn't give enough of a good effect for me with this deck, sort of like your deck is all about discarding, and mine is about damage and stop attacks.

right now this is my best deck, next to super draw exodia and d-hero. and we have a local about every week, the only thing is i have never won one, but always try. first tournament i had i misplayed and got swamped with low attackers, second tournament i lost to wildhearts, came back against gagdets and lost, so i will have to deal more damage from attacks

You should put in Firewalls, 2 more doomfires, 2x Return from a DD, tri-blazes, blazes, and 2-3x that one pyro monster than you remove to special summon it.
Make it a return deck, it runs smoother.

well the thing is, no one has found the best strategy of volcanics and done something with them as of yet, so no type or net decked idea works all that great so far. only decks that just add a little volcanics can be proven as useful with no downside.

i am running this deck my way and the dd removal being more efficient is not so great. plus whenever i make a deck(from now on) i shuffle my deck to find each bad hand and fix it, yours would give me bad draws and therefore kill me off

well i finally won a local this weekend, with this deck. originally i had planned on playing in a six way match so i added in 6 cards mostly uria stuff and won. without uria i would have not won and with it i surprised someone who was at 3400 with me at 400 and just smacked him down.

only problem wth the deck was level limit because every so often that i could summon uria level limit was on the field and i couldn't destroy my own spell.

i will just fix my deck up and main uria from now on in here

Best Stratagy with Volcanics is to run them as a fire deck. You want mass mills a lot, so look for those methods (hammer can really sting late game).

Volcanic recharge is absolutely brutal when timed right as well, chain it to the activation of your third shell. It goes off first, returning your three shells, and you get one when your shell itself resolves.

And for the love of god man, Stumbling/Vengeful Bog Spirit are your friends.

i am not using king pyron, too weak in attack. i would only use it if i used ufo turtle.

i might take out hammerer since i have been getting bad draws, but late/mid game i can deal 1200 easily

looks strong. but if i keep it then:

all the time. doomfire is a really good card.

and i don't have a way to get a second royal firestorm gaurd.
switch out a dark bribe with a destruction jammer(doesn't solemn judgement say destroy?) since i don't have another bribe.

and i like slicer. beatstick that can avoid battle.

Also take out the 3x Blaster it's terrible, and get two more Rockets 3x is a much, along with another RFG, two is the optimal amount so they can recycle one another, also combine it with 1x PoA in your deck.3x PWWB, 2x Razia and 2x Thestalos are also card that could help out your deck.....
