I'm kinda new-ish to competitive battling, but I think I understand it enough to create a team. I'd like some insight, though, and help on ways I should change my team...

Well, here goes.

Togekiss @ Razor Fang
Timid (6 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd)
Serene Grace

Air Slash
Aura Sphere
Thunderwave
Sweet Kiss

Good Annoyer/Sweeper. 30% x 2 + (I'm guessing) 10% = 70% chance of Flinch? And the stacking of that with Paralyze AND Confusion? No resistence from the opponent, except the occasional Ground type that resists Thunderwave. Aura Sphere for Rocks/Steels/Electrics that resist Air Slash.

Gengar @ Black Sludge
Modest (6 HP, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spd.)
Levitate

Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt

One of my favorite Poke`mon, as well as one of the best special sweepers. Boltbeam takes care of almost everything, Sludge and Shadow there for STAB.

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Bold (252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Sp. Atk)
Levitate

Psychic
Psycho Shift/Safeguard
Lunar Dance
Calm Mind

Great mixed wall, Sp. Def comes from Calm Mind, as well as Sp. Atk for Psychic. Lunar Dance is great for when she's going to faint anyways, giving another one of my team another chance. I'm stuck on whether to use Psycho Shift, for a nasty surprise to the opponent if they inflict a status on me, but safeguard'll prevent it all together.

Scizor @ ????
Jolly (6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd)
Technician

X-Scissor
Night Slash
Agility
Baton Pass

Great Physical Attacker, and can BP agilities to my Marowak and anything else. X-Scissor is for stab, of course, and Night Slash to cover the common Psychics and Ghosts.

Marowak @ Thick Club
Adamant (6 HP, 252 Atk, 124 Def, 128 Spd)
Rock Head

Bonemerang
Stone Edge
Double Edge
Stealth Rock

A great physical sweeper, with a bit of defensive tank built right in. I think it'll make a great Stealth Rocker, too.

Gyrados @ Life Orb
Jolly (252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Sp. Def)
Intimidate

Waterfall
Earthquake
Ice fang
Dragon Dance

Gyrados...well, he's a beast. Easily explained.

Maxing speed with thunderwave is plain stupid.

Togekiss@Leftovers
Modest
220 HP 252 Sp.Attack 32 Speed

Thunderwave
Wish
Aura Sphere
Air Slash

I swear, someone's stalking me.
I've never seen anyone use Togekiss here, but I just finished training mine two days ago or so, and now I've seen THREE people post about it.

Gengar doesn't learn Ice Beam.
If you go for that set, then make it @Choice Specs with Energy Ball instead of beam.

Otherwise, standard Will/Hypnosis/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt set

That Cresselia is.. yeah.

If you go for crescent dance, to baton pass Calm Minds, then:
Thunderwave
Psychic
Crescent Dance
Calm Mind

Otherwise, she has many options.

Marowak with Stealth Rock is eh.

Gyarados:
-Ice Fang
+Taunt

Bleh. The EV spread if okay, but if you go for that,
-Rest +Reflect, -Psychic +Grass Rope.

I'm surprised you didn't say my moveset blows!O_O

Well, Psychic is for STAB, and since this isn't Uber play, not too many PU Pokemon resist it. I dunno about Reflect, since that moveset gives it like 350 DEF. I rather use Thunderwave instead.

Also, maybe the reason many people are using Togekiss is because the threat list has recently been posted, and Togekiss is on it. I might train one too, but I never liked it.

Additional Comment:

STABed thunderbolt dead

Fixed!!!!!:D

Well, it kinda did, but I ran out of words to describe it [Blows and terrible/horrible are already too old for me]

Well, I wouldn't want to get Mega***** by a horny Heracross,
so Reflect's a good idea - with high Sp.Def and high def she can wall anything.

Thunderwave's another option there, yes.

I also forgot you can ditch Calm Mind and go for Charge Beam.

My battle against Tower Tycoon:

Me: Heracross used Megahorn, missed.
Him: Cresselia, Psychic, Heracross dead.

Only a Choice Banded Heracross have the POSSIBILITY of 1HKO Cresselia.

You could've lied, now I know my moveset sucks anyways!:(

Yes, but I was excluding Psychic on my moveset.

Why? Cause with Psychic and Beam you'll have a very small coverage.

I'd go BoltBeam probably.
