How are the tournament scene right now?

has this game picked up alot since ownership changed from WoTC to nintendo or just the prize support got better?

I can't really say since I haven't really been to tournaments for a long time, but it seems to be doing well. The largest tournament I've been to was at MId-Atlantic Regionals with 50 or so people in the 15+ division.

i see i just am not sure if i want to get back in to competitvley playing pokemon again since im so out of date with the card and new rules implamented after i left the game. =/ i regret not being able to go to Worlds even tho i had my plane ticket and stuff but was denied @ the time since i was 11

There are a lot of events out there now.
Check the www.op.pokemon-tcg.com site and look at upcoming Battle Road tournaments in CA and Nevada.

Those are all that is left before Nationals and Worlds this season.

Ah no i live in socal and i use to play with team socal before Ipgeek and a few other left. Chrisbo is a judge and still is one i think. If i am confident enough ill travel to Vegas to play but other wise ill stay in socal till im ready.
