something wasnt right... ur pokemon were barely taking any damage from my attacks. all of the damage i was inflicting was super effective too!! something wasnt right about that battle

Um, maybe he EVed trained his Pokemon in Def. Post your Pokemon and his Pokemon you attacked.

h/o.. EV training can make that big of a difference?

Edit: i was attacking his Hippo thing with my Mamoswine using Ice Fang. i switched out to Blastoise after 3 Ice Fangs because he used Slack Off. then Blastoise takes a decent amount of damage from Earthquake. then i used surf and he switched out to cradily, which barely did anything to his HP. even though its a grass type, the rock part of cradily should have let surf do normal damage instead of that small amount of damage.

Yes, if the Pokemon has a beneficial nature and fully EV trained, that stat gains +66 - 69. Tell me what Pokemon and attack you used and what Pokemon did he use.

I had a cradily in a sandstorm max IV in sp def, def, and hp. 252 evs in sp def and hp....son in sandstorm his sp def was 344 * 1.5 = 516 since he is a rock pokemon. You also forgot to mention that I used barrior 3 times so that tripled his normal defense to put it over 600. Perhaps THAT is why you were not giving him any damage noob. You sat there and watched me using barrior 3x and am wondering why you didnt do any physical damage. Shame.

Edit: wait.. all of the stuff that happened in the battle, including type, did something to raise stats? wow... i learned a lot of new things today. sorry for accusing you of modifying the stats. didnt think that type had to do with things too

Did you omit the first thing I said? Cradily is running a + sp def nature with a perfect 31 iv in sp def. He has 252 sp def IVs bringing his sp def up to 344. He is part rock pokemon who get a 1.5x sp def boost in sandstorm. Therefore 344* 1.5 = 516. His special defense was therefore 516. That is why your surf was hitting like a school girl. Sorry to break it to you.
