help getting a cranidos!

im trying to dig for the cranidos fossil, but absolutely no luck...can anyone help? i'm only past the 2nd gym, nothing really special in terms of pokemon to trade...please let me know!!

Not sure I followed your question.
Grass Knot is obtained as the prize for beating the 2nd Gym Leader.
In terms of Trading the TM for Grass Knot, simply let one of your PKMN hold the TM and then trade that PKMN to your friend, thus giving him the TM for GK.
