Important question

I've been seriously considering using IV's in my training, and trying to get the best possible pokemon (and go to Mirage Island). The problem is that I'm not sure if I should reset my game and start from the beginning (So I can do it right from the start) or just incorperate it as a part of my training from the point I'm at (which is Lavaridge, before going to challenge Flannery{sp}) and not have to do everything over again.

Can anyone help out?

well the pokemon that have already battled will not be usable for experienced battle, since you dont know their EVs or IVs, but if you bred new pokemon, you could do it... but it is hard to EV train in the middle of the game...

Just make sure you get a female starter and rip through the game using only that Pokemon. (It's easiest to do this with Blaziken.) Then you can breed more versions of the starter and you won't have messed up the EVs of anything but your starter (and the HM slave that fought along side it in double battles) and with the world as your Cloyster do as you please.

that is very good advice... and remember to get to level 16 so Combusken has Double Kick to defeat the first gym... the other attacks dont do too well...
