Am I missing something, or is this the worst rare ever created in WOW TCG? All it does is give you stealth, and it costs one more than Stealth, which can be used by any talent tree and can be retreived for 2 when destroyed AND is only an uncommon? Someone please explain.

Read the card again. Stealth is destroyed when your hero deals damage. Master of Deception is not.

Bingo, that is the beauty of master of deception, means i can sit back and ambush and slaughter as much as I want to ^_^

Lessons in Lurking is great too, gives an Ally Stealth, and it also doesn't get destroyed if the ally does damage.

NO, the rule book states that any time your hero deals damage, you must destroy all cards that give you stealth, so you can't hold to this card once you've dealt damage.

While that was the ruling in the initial set, I'm rather sure that the mechanic has changed in TtDP.
in fact, from the WoWTCG rules forum FAQ:
Unless a card says otherwise, dealing damage with a character with stealth does not cause the destruction of any cards or the loss of the stealth keyword.

Also the rulebook says the card is always right, which means Master of Deception > silly rules.

Yeah, it's not destroyed. It's basically what Stealth should have been, although it's still not enough to push Rogues into tournament-caliber decks.
