You can probably expect that a simple Protection from red would shut this deck down, and you'd be right. Being able to create a one-sided earthquake won't work if your opponent is able to create Monsters with Protection from red, or plays with story circles.
The trick with the deck is actually in Two Headed Giant. That's right, it's designed to work in conjunction with the Blue Tim deck. Lavamancer's Skill and Arcane Teachings both indicate this. I've considered adding Magemarks to the deck, but I'm uncertain as to the quality it would add to the deck.
