Scrapped Princess

I just watched this series and I must say that BONES has once again produced another great show. Has anyone else here had the opportunity to check out SP?

Finally someone starts a thread for one of my favorite series. It does start off as your typical fantasy anime but it's eventually revealed to be a really good sci-fi. I thought the ending was a bit weak but it managed to tie up the lose ends. I can't wait to get it on DVD.

Yep, Scrapped Princess is awesome, but I do have to say I felt a bit cheated by the ending. Otherwise it's a really great series.

-_- It's about time I see a topic about a series not on cable tv. Anyways, I looked up Scrapped Princess on ANN and many people voted it as Great to Masterpiece. I read the plot summary and it seemed really interesting. This is definitly on my must see/read list.

I watched the entire series then got around to downloading it. Maybe I'll start a thread about fansubs... ;)

This series definitely looked great and had a memorable cast. I can't say that I disliked the ending, but its good to have closure without it being rushed. I definitely would have liked to have seen more fights like the one between shannon and chris, but the peacemaker battles were good enough. SP has a good blend of humor, sadness, and excitement.
What I think makes this series unique from a title like Lodoss War is the fantasy/sci-fi combination that is offered up. This mix is kind of confusing, but it opens the series up to unexpected twists.
I did get tired of Pacifica and her "What if I was never born" speeches, but I guess it made sense to have them in there.
Its hard for me to decide upon a favorite character for this series, I'm torn between Chris, Zefiris, and the BUG guy.

Then ending just seemed too simple for all the complexity the show was building up. *shakes head*

Chris, Zephris, and Raquell are deffinately my fave characters. I wanted more scenes between Chris and Winia!

I got so sick of Shannon. He annoyed me so much sometimes. I wasn't too fond of the beast princess girl either. I forgot her name. Was it Senis or something?

I didn't really care for the character designs. Winia's annoyed me most. He chest litterally looked like they attached two overfilled balloons to it. O_O

Anything's more unique than Lodoss. Lodoss is one big walking cliche. (The OVA anyway. I can't speak for the TV show since I haven't seen it) Anyway, I agree. One of the things that impressed me about SP was it's creative storyline.

chris looked so cool yet so little fighting scenes

raquell was obv the best until she mentioned the darn soopy

the end was just meh well like you said too much complexity although zephiris at the end was just random

i also wanted to see more of the hawks seems like 26 eps was a bit short
