if i bought either fire red/leaf green, and didnt have ruby or sapphire, would i be able 2 transfer pokemon from colosseum *if thts possible*

FR/LG/PC/R/S are all supposed to be compatible with each other, so yeah. You would still need the GC/GBA link cable.

And FR/LG can't trade with anything other than FR/LG until you get the tablet. And that's not until you get to the Rainbow Islands.

so i could complete my fr/lf pokedex by tradin in pokemon from colosseum, and wont have 2 buy R/S?

i think you need all R/S, Fr/Lg, and PC to complete the dex.

It is, to my understanding, split like this: PC has most of the Johto pokemon, R/S has the Hoenn pokemon(duh!), and Fr/Lg have the Kanto pokemon...

please correct me if I am wrong
