Yup another breeding topic...

My question is that how will the stats be determined on a baby?
I read both the breeding topics and it slightly covered it but I just wanted to confirm something.

-If the mother and father were LV100 and they were to breed, would the baby pokemon have better stats?

or

-Is everything totally random?

and finally can you give me some tips for breeding?
much appreciated.

Base stats for all pokemon of the same species are identical. Things like Nature and IVs help determine how each base stat grows, not the level of the parents. Their is randomness in the Nature and IVs assigned to each offspring. Some IVs are passed down from the parents, but exactly how this works I never seen posted. It is possible to get better IVs by breeding the best male/female in successive generations. This takes time and patience but it works.

There is some very useful breeding info on the Help Thread. You may want to take a look. See Page 1, post#5 "Breeding questions".

Only IVs are hereditary. And it's bred. Breeded isn't a word.

Tips:

1. Get two Pokemon with the best IVs possible.
2. Breed a generation as large as you feel fit.
3. Take the best male and female from that group and breed another generation.
4. Repeat steps two and three several billion times.
