so here's what it looks like.
Latias
@ Leftovers
Nature: Gentle
EVs: 252 S. Attack 60 HP (the rest undecided but it has a decent speed and i hate speed ev training so i was thinking of just giving it max hp or 126 speed/126 hp.)
-Psychic
-Mist Ball
-Recover
-Surf
okay it sucks right now for sure because i havent even chosen a moveset or style, all i know is it's going to be my special attacker because its s. attack is 40 points higher than attack and i already have a metagross (finally level 100!) as my physical sweeper.
so anyway i just want some advice on what to do with evs/moves. i cant really change it's nature either, i mean this is in-game so i'm not going to NOT catch latias when i see it because the nature isn't certain. hell if im going to hunt it down 300 times trying to get modest nature.
ps smogon is down or doesnt work on my comp, which is why im asking it here. so don't try to be so modern and cool by saying "check smogon noob" :)
Check Smogon? Check with yourself and your common sense.
First, no use checking Smogon, it features stuff to counter the Metagame and such, and yours is for in-game as much as I've seen.
Calm Mind
Recover
The reason it's a Uber, perhaps, even without Soul Dew.
Next you should choose either according to your team or with the frontier brain:
Dragon Claw, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Ice Beam
Thunderbolt is usually used for Skarmory.
Psychic's a bad attacking type.
I'd take perhaps Claw & Thunderbolt, for competitive play,
as it would cover the same number of types as Claw & Beam,
only Skarmory included.
Boltbeam combo is also an option. So either Clawbolt or Boltbeam.
Sped is important. She has an high speed for a reason; for you to use it.

i was thinking the same thing, but i like discussions. i probably will go for boltbeam/recover/calm mind but if there are other cool things to do i want to know about 'em.
Well:
Wish is pretty cool
Safeguard can be used, or refresh [meh] to block status conditions after some calm minds

i dont understand wish, is it like a recover that hits a turn or two later? i see it combod a lot it seems kind of pointless except for online where you can baton pass to something, have it take a hit, then get healed. i doubt im gonna need to predict and switch too often in-game. good idea, though, and i might try it if it gets to the point where my pokemon are getting ko'd through switching.
It could be Latias' death wish, healing your next Pokemon.
Otherwise, I prefer to use it on walls/passers.

I'd go max special attack and a good amount of speed. Maxed out or whatever. As for the moveset... try one of the following, with Soul Dew if you can get it:
Dragon Claw/Calm Mind/Recover/Ice Beam
Dragon Claw/Calm Mind/Recover/Thunderbolt
Thunderbolt/Calm Mind/Ice Beam/Recover
Calm Mind/Dragon Claw/Psychic/Ice Beam
Recover/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Psychic
Recover/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Dragon Claw
Personally, I'd go with the CM/BoltBeam/Recover, with a Lum Berry, if you have surplus amounts of those ingame, if this is ingame. Otherwise, Leftovers are probably fine. I use a Latios on NetBattle, on my Uber team-
Latios (M) @ Soul Dew
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunder
- Calm Mind
- Recover
It works awesomely. I use Thunder because I have a Kyogre on my Uber team, and Thunder takes advantage of the rain.
I also came up with a physical moveset, for my Latios ingame, if I ever find it(I'll use a physical set if the special attack has a reduced nature or whatever)-
Latios (M) @ Lum Berry/Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake(I think Latios can learn it... if not, Return)
- Shadow Ball
- Dragon Dance
- Recover/Refresh
That won't work for Latias, because she doesn't get Dragon Dance, but you get the point, I think.

Even then, Latio's max Sp.Attack with a reducing nature is
323, so may as well use a special attack to abuse it.
