Due to the lack of extra Game Boy systems, I have to use what is obtainable in Emerald. This means no trading to get Pokemon to evolve, or getting Pokemon through trading that are unobtainable in Emerald.
I'm starting out by picking a Special Sponge. Ludicolo has great Special Defense as well as Attacking Capabilities, so:
Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 168 HP / 88 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature [+SAtk, -Atk]
- Ice Beam
- Rain Dance
- Razor Leaf
- Surf
A Physical Sponge will be beneficial as well. Aggron has amazing defensive capabilities, as well as a nice array of offensive moves, which is why I'm choosing him for this slot.
Aggron @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 96 Spd / 252 Atk / 162 HP
Adamant [+Atk, -SAtk]
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
With great walling abilities from these two Pokemon, I decided to use a mixed sweeper to give me a wide array of offensive capabilities. Swampert can use Cursequake and SurfBeam, which makes it a good addition to the team.
Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SAtk
Brave [+Atk, -Spd]
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Surf
The team seems very well rounded. Walls to both Physical and Special attacks, along with very usable offensive capabilities make it hard to take me down. Swampert serves as a mixed wall with 90 base Def in each stat, giving it mediocre walling abilities, as well as mixed attacking abilities with a 150 Power Cursequake. Very dangerous.
All comments would be greatly appreciated!

Ludicolo is better as a staller, or else you could just use Lati@s.

At the Battle Fronteir, I don't like using stallers. The fact that you have to go for a string of battles most of the time means that you'll have to wait forever to get out.
I can't get Latias or Latios, I have no way to get the (?) Ticket. >_>

Really? I was told you could only get them using the Eon Ticket to go to whatever Island that is. >_>
Is it random like with Suicune / Entei / Raikou in FRLG, or is there a set spot?
Also, can you only find it once? Like for example, if you accidentally kill it, can you find it again? Lol.

When you beat the E4, after you turn the game on again(or whatever), you'll be in your room. Go outta the room, and the TV downstairs is flashing or something. Check it-the color you choose while watching the broadcast determines which Lati you'll get. Blue for Latios, Red for Latias.

Ok. So can you see it before you encounter it, that way you can save your game and use Master Ball to get the right Nature via resetting? Or does it just appear as if it was a normal Wild encounter?
reapsoul: I knew about that already. I thought that you needed the Eon Ticket to go to whatever Island that is to get it.
Also, which one should I choose? I'm currently leaning towards Latias due to 130 Sp Def, although Latios's 130 Sp Atk looks appealing....

Modest Nature [+SAtk, -Atk]

The best 200(RSE only) special sponge is Regice. Ludicolo's okay, but needs Leech, IMO. Leech/other moves :-P
Regice @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: good HP, good defense, at least 250 special attack(250, 275, or 300 are good numbers), rest in SDef
Bold nature or Modest nature or Calm nature(I think calm...)
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Rest
This set is amazing. Take out a move for Psych Up if you want, or Explosion. To get Regice, you need Relicanth, Dig, Surf, Dive, and Wailord... and probably a few other things. Should be easy enough to get once you have the materials.
A Physical Sponge will be beneficial as well. Aggron has amazing defensive capabilities, as well as a nice array of offensive moves, which is why I'm choosing him for this slot.
Aggron @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 96 Spd / 252 Atk / 162 HP
Adamant [+Atk, -SAtk]
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
Would be physical, but the double weaknesses to fighting and ground slaughter Aggy. If you need a good physical wall, go with a heavy defense based Regice. You could also go for Swampert, as listed below, but more defense related. The best defense pokemon in RSE are probably Crobat(double resistance to fighting/bug), Aggron(if used right...), Regirock, Regice, Metagross, and Slaking(cuz of the monster HP). Metagross is most of the time a great choice because of the sweeping ability too. You could go CBGross, MixGross, or Agiligross, and be fine ingame.
Aggron (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: lotsa HP, good attack, good defense
Adamant Nature
-Double-Edge
-Earthquake/Rock Slide(EQ for Metagross, very common in the BF)
-Thunder Wave
-Iron Defense/Roar
I know, ID isn't great, but if you really need a physical wall, doubling base 180(I think) defense is sweet.
Metagross @ Choice Band/Leftovers/Lum Berry
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef, 252 Atk / (198 speed) / (rest in HP), some special attack and regular attack/(198 speed)/rest in HP
Adamant/Adamant(or +Atk, -SDef)/(+SAtk, -SDef/Spd)
CB Set
MM, EQ, Explosion, Sludge Bomb/Shadow Ball/Rock Slide
Agility Set
Agility, MM, EQ, Explosion/Thunderpunch/Psychic/Rock Slide/Sludge Bomb
Mix set
Agility, MM, T-Punch, Psychic
If you really need something with good defense though, Aggron's probably aight. The best bet would most likely be something with Reflect, I'm pretty sure 'Gross can learn it.
Metagross @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant/Careful
-MM
-Reflect
-EQ/Explosion
-Agility/EQ/Explosion/Light Screen/Refresh(if you can somehow get it on 'Gross, probably with gamecube -.-)
- Ice Beam
- Surf
Could use Rest instead of Surf. Ice Beam's there pretty much only for Salamence and things that aren't affected by EQ.

Your team was strong in the defenses, but if the right pokemon got in against you, you were screwed. My main BF team is Metagross, Sceptile, and Crobat. Sceptile kills Swampert, Crobat kills Ludicolo, Metagross kills Aggron, Sceptile seriously hurts Aggron, Sceptile damages Ludicolo nicely, Metagross seriously kills Ludicolo w/Explosion(duh, especially from CB)... With Regice, you're weak to fire, fighting, rock, and steel. Fire won't do much, and steel isn't common. So your main weaknesses are Rock(Ancientpower mostly, sometimes Rock Tomb), and Fighting(just about always brick break, sometimes Reversal). Metagross has a nice defense and great resistances, but still is hurt by EQ/Fire attacks. Swampy takes the fire damage and dishes back out more pain. This set can't take EQ very well, but if you want to use Salamence instead of Swampert, DDMence/Elemence would be the best choices, you could evade EQ and take lower damage from Fire attacks. That's just my opinion. I'm highly sweeper based in my teams, I hate stalling. Right now, my team of Sceptile, Crobat, and Metagross is hard to beat, surprisingly. Sceptile, my special sweeper, goes in with STAB Leaf Blade and regular Dragon Claw, with Quick Attack for reversalers and Roar for God knows what. Crobat comes in with Confuse Ray, Haze, Sludge Bomb, and Wing Attack, making double STABs and the ability to confuse/haze. Metagross brings powerful attacks. I'm gonna switch it to Mixmence(Brick Break/Dragon Claw/Fire Blast/Hydro Pump [might replace HP with Dragon Dance]), Crobat, and Metagross. Crobat is surprisingly effective, it lasts longer than you think. It's not that weak, I'm very pleased with the results mine gives me on NetBattle.

I prefer Latios.
Latios (M) @ Soul Dew/Leftovers/Lum Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature/Timid Nature
-Dragon Claw/Ice Beam
-Calm Mind
-Recover/Refresh
-Psychic/Thunderbolt
is what I'd use...
or...
Latios (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Shadow Ball
-Earthquake
-Recover
