These six are the core members of Team Pretty Ponies. Coincidentially, if you subtract the traitor who quit and exclude the fact that Ronny has no official ranking, we are also the top six ranked players in Virginia.

Well, when you take out anyone on the team who has ever said anything bad about the state of the game and then reduce it to the ones who play often, you will be the only one on the team. Sorry, but most of us have, at at least at one point or another, wavering hopes for DM. This is understandable due to the lack of support, the lack of players, tournaments, prizes and news. The latter is the most important. However, I would like anyone who cares to know that I carry around a deck every week and if there was actually a tournament, I would probably play, unless I accidentally dislocated a few vertebret in my neck..(again.....).

I'm not very optomistic about the state of the game right now, which is hard for most of us to be, but I'm not a doom sayer, I'm a truth teller, and I'm still a player.

If you haven't noticed yet... we were gona have a tourney 3 weeks ago.. but ronny and eric didn't want to play so we didn't have enough people, so don't try to put all the blame on me, christian, andrew, etc...

Eric , not Mullen, had a pretty neat dual civ deck today. only two civs. and what made that even more incredible is that it was actually pretty decent. Melnia, Soderlight, a bunch of slayers and death masks, and then Evil Incarnate with Aqua Soldier. very cool deck, I liked how it used underused cards.

I think it's a matter of when you go to the store, because that day that Eric Cox came up there, Yugioh owned the shop. we had 4 people playing FMA, for whatever reason, seven people on Melee, occasionally 2 to 3 people on Duel Masters, and everyone else in the store, including melee players that were waiting their turn, were usually on Yugioh.

Ahh! On Sunday, when I ran the Yugioh tournament for the few people there, it only had six people, so obviously me and carl pwned the house. I got first and he got second. I can't go either day next week though because of the ODU piano competition. Sorry to everybody!

I'm starting to think it's not so much DM died in our area so much as everyone is too busy to show. -.- OUr regulars alone would be enough to host a small tournament, if we could all be there at the same time.

That's eight people right there. We had a new guy with cards there saturday, but he didn't play anyone. he just sat around and kinda stared at his deck, it was a bit wierd.

Carls generally busy running Melee, and would Ronny and Eric M. both play? Eric K. is out of state very frequently due to his job. We are getting new players, though. They seem to like the game, but they don't have the attitude of getting hooked. Maybe we're just nerds.

Yeah, I think Carl needs to pull back on Melee a bit. once a month, maybe, instead of every week. Even he admitted saturday that his melee is interfering with what bit of DM we can do.

becaue like this month, there are 5 weeks... and I want to keep it to where there's a team tourney on the first week in each month.

The only reason I'm running a tourney on the 17th of this month is because i can't get the schedule out that fast and i've gotten some conformation that some people are going to be showing up for the tourney

the reason I'm also running one on the 24th is for the same reason as that june thing... I just want to keep the Team tourney on the 1st Sat. of the month

I'd recommend having snacks. People love freebies and you'll be able to get them to pay attention. You can get good deals at Sams Club or Costco. Stuff like this works when I do field presentations for work.

If you go with that idea then just remember to get clean snacks. Don't get anything greasy or anything that can be smeared on the cards. You wouldn't want to ruin your coveted Death Liger. ;)

That's actually a pretty good idea. unfortunately unlike everywhere else, Mr. D is still charging the full original price for his packs, and the gift card is only good at his store. Plus, having already wasted some of it on YGO packs (now I remember why I never buy them anymore) there is really only 84 dollars left on it. ALthough a draft would be great, I'd be out a lot of money and with zero corporate support for the game, I don't think I would get satisfactory results.
