What does OAV stand for and what are they? I heard ne 1 say wut they were. :p

OVA "or OAV" Stands for Original Video Animation. Anime that went direct-to-video or DVD. In other words they weren't shown in theaters or tv. Theres a couple of OVA episodes of Ranma 1/2 which in my opinion are the best ever. The Rurouni Kenshin Ovas are Samurai X. Just to give ya some examples.

OVAs usually have very high quality compared to their TV counterparts and they are also sometimes longer. Of course, the series will be shorter, like 15 or less episodes.
