For those of you who have or played it let me know your opinion towards the game, I'm quite interested in getting it, might help me improve in deck building.

I bought the game for myself and my son so we can duel on it as well as TCG. It moves a little slow but does help with building your deck and maybe trying out some combos. The real advantages won't be seen until you've played for a little while and built your deck/trunk up to something resembling your real deck. It's entertainment too while you're sitting on the throne. There are a couple of cool things about the game: (1) the extra cards (they're not the greatest, but hey, not everyone has them). (2) You can pretty much duel with someone, anywhere (library, back car seat, the bookstore, or waiting for your spouse as she tries on clothes at the store). (3) you can start the game over from the beginning and start with using a deck from each of the different civilizations. (4) after you complete the game you can always go back and build a deck and play against the game in the "duel room".

IMHO!

Too bad the promos suck =/

Don't get it, it sucks, there's only about 180 cards in the whole game which is only the first 2 sets and the graphic is terrible and the promos are horrible. I'd rather get Duel Masters 2 in Japanese because it got more than 420 cards with much better graphic.
