i was playing pokemon ruby and i used ice beam. my swampert had it. then i used hail and ice beam did more damage then last time. is hail a ice move booster? it makes sense does,int? i mean sunny day ups fire moves, rainy day ups water moves can hail up ice moves or is it my imaganion?

i see so it is move booster is,int it? hmm this helps my pokemon team im working on. i will post in like mabye two weeks give me two weeks it should be very strong by then.

It doesn't power up Ice attacks, it just might have seemed like it. All it does is make a hail storm that hurts non-ice pokemon for 5 rounds{turns}

it does make ice moves more accurate too though, and yah, i doesnt power up ice attacks

where did you find that out? I looked on Serebii and it said nothing about increasing Ice move accuracy. If it did I would make an ice team

There was a rumor on smogon that blizzard always hits with hail in D/P. This is still unconfirmed to my knowledge, but also not disproven.

hmm that means i,ll have to reconfigure my team. i just wanna tell ya the name of it is "arctic blast" cool huh? you,ve probly guessed it im making a ice team(this is going to be my stongst team i,ve ever had) just give me time and trust.

Hail definitely does not increase the power of ice moves. When your Ice Beam did more damage than the turn before it was probably just because of the random damage formula.
