Pokemon emerald problem

Hi all
I recently bought pokemon emerald for my gameboy.
But when I finished the pkmn league the game is erased :(

I know it's the same thing with the rom and there's a patch that will fix is, but I have the game on my gameboy so the patch won't solve my problem.

Does anyone have a solution to fix it???

Hmmm. The only time I've heard of this kind of thing is when the player has f-up'd their game by using a cheating device.

Did you buy it new? From a friend? Used?

well that explanes it. try it new. used sometimes works but its 50% chance it wont. i know i bought alot of used pokemon gameboy games and they whould erase when ive only been playing for 6,7 hours tops. its pretty messed up. sry about your game just get a new one.
