This is the only one I can think of, but feel free to add any rituals you come up with.

Dread Ritual

(no casting cost)
Instant
Dread Ritual is Black

Suspend 3-B

While Dread Ritual is suspended, pay B to add a time counter or remove a time counter from Dread Ritual. Any player may use this ability.

When Dread Ritual comes into play, add BBB to your mana pool.

"The worst part is the anticipation."

You like? The border for the card image wasn't properly resized but I kinda changed your card's effect a bit. BBB For Suspend 3 is already overcosted so I took out the "Add 1 or remove 1" part =P

Maybe I should stick it in as "Remove 1 time counter"?

Meh. it's really not great. Good, but the concept is off. Dark ritual got used because it would allow turn one drops of 3 CC creatures. This would mainly get used to facilitate turn 3 playing of stuff like reiver demon.

It's "Lotus Bloom for black mana and costs B to get out"

Which makes it a common slot, a poor one if so.

Here's a revised one (I'll make a card for it once I stop being lazy and boot back on Vista)

Dread Ritual BB
Instant
When you play Dread Ritual, any player may sacrifice a land. If a player does, counter Dread Ritual.
Add BBBBB to your mana pool.

At first I was going to make the bugger cost B, but it's an unfair advantage for whoever starts first with it in their hand so I made it cost BB. Then I realized that BB for BBB isn't a shocker at all, so I upped it to a Seething Song level.

Or, you could go for this:

Dread Ritual [No mana cost]
Instant
Dread Ritual is black.
Suspend X - XB. X can't be 0.
When a time counter is removed from Dread Ritual while it's removed from the game, add B to your mana pool.
Add BB to your mana pool.

Now THIS version is actually fun. It's a mana bank, and still goes off for BBB when it comes into play.

I'd make the first one produce 4 mana...

...You guys get that you'll have to use the mana by the end of your draw step or burn for 3, right? You play the card off Suspend during your upkeep.

Braid of Fire is better than any of these, and is hardly ever played.

Not if you activate it when you need it.

Hachi has a good point. Maybe word it to add the mana in your next mainphase?
