Blaze Kick

I'm so annoyed by this.
Blaze kick is meant to have a hight critical hit ratio yes?

It so doesn't do what it says on the tin! I rarely if ever get a CH with Blaze kick in a battle. I was especting ti to be like razor leaf or slash wich are meant to Ch all the time.....oh hang on have they taken the CH ratio down in the new gen games. Dont tell me its changed.....noooooo slash kicked but with realistic 140 damage! Whats going on ahhhhhh!

Critical hit ratio fro most moves was based on a pokes speed in RBY. In RSE only certain moves(like the ones you mentioned) have high ratios. If you want Blaze to get critical more often, then use Focus Energy.

The odds of a critical hit still aren't all that great. Slash was never a garunteed critial hit either. High critical hit ratio moves still are more likely not to make a CH than make a CH.

Does anybody know exactly how to determine the odds of critical hit? Maybe that would help.

High critical moves have 25% chance to to a critical.

I'm guessing that Scope Lens adds 10-25% to that chance, and that Focus Energy adds 25%...

so max of 75% chance of a CH, if using Blaziken @ Scope Lens, Focus Energy, Slash/Blaze Kick.

Sounds fun.

I'm sure we all remember the Critical Hit monster, Persian, in RBY. Back then, if a move said High Critical Hit Ratio, that's what it meant.

Yeah. For now if you want a fire move, just stick with Flamethrower, Fire Blast, or Overheat.

In D/P, it's a whole new ball game. Critiken is gonna rock!!!!

The critical hit has a scale similar to attack/defense boosts. There are different levels (I would guess six), and scope lens adds +1 CH level. I think focus energy is +2... I'm not sure. I don't know how much each level adds to the % chance.
