Does anybody else here think the card-of-the-day reviews are a bit lacking? The reviewers are doing nothing but reiterating what's on the card and then giving their opinions on them. Some of the reviews are ok with a little detail in card usage and benefits, but not much.

Where is the analysis? Where is the strategy discussion? Where are the combos? Why don't I ever see anyone writing about how to use cards or when to hold back and wait on using them? I also would like to see comparisons to other cards and opposing cards that the specific card of the day would go or bad against.

You kids may be good at playing games, but you've got a lot to learn about analyzing and teaching. Simply reiterating the information that's on the card and saying if it's good or bad in your opinion does nothing to help a reader get a better understanding of the overall usage of that card for different decks and situations.

WHO DO I TALK TO ABOUT DOING CARD REVIEWS??? I WRITE FOR A LIVING AND WANT TO PUT MY TWO-CENTS INTO THE POT.

I agree... and the lack of reviewers is also disheartening. The most analysis I've seen in most of the reviews is "Protector is good" and "...but it's not as good as card X"

Putting too much strategy into a review, however, is overkill... I would prefer to see an overall analysis of what types of decks it should go in, and what cards it would combo well with... not an analysis of how it would fare in all circumstances in each deck.

And I can't say I preferred the Yu-Gi-Oh CoTD's either, since it was obvious what was the best in EVERY deck... sad really :P

Ya, you can't really analyze a card's use in every deck possible, that would take too long, but you can analyze good situations to use it, other good cards it might combo with and a strategy or two to fit it into.

-sigh- Send an email to the Pojo.com address asking to be a CoTD Reviewer. The best thing you can do. Enjoy.

KJFJustice, if you want to become a COTD reviewer, best thing to do is just send them an e-mail with your own COTD review. The best time to do time is just any random time, better if they have no post saying they're looking for a COTD reviewer. One of my friends sent in a random review one day and he became a COTD reviewer (I'm talking about Drizer if anyone knows him, he had his own space on the Duel Masters section and did some stuff for Dream Blade). I do agree with you that the current COTD reviews are a bit 'meh', but I can't really say anything myself since I just started the WoW TCG.
