I'm building a semi-aggro blue deck, whose only attackers are unblockable...or nearly that. I'm hoping to find a means of boosting them equally(as in power and toughness) without a splash....and equipments seem my best bet.
If i can't find anything adequate on boost, i want something that can be beneficial for a blue deck.
Currently, Mask of Memory(draw) and Vulshok Gauntlets(good boost, decent drawback) are under consideration.
Bonesplitter gives no defense boost, Slagworm armor doesn't give attack, Leonin Scimitar doesn't give enough, and Sword of Kaldara is way too slow...
Is there anything anyone has seen from darksteel, or maybe something I missed from Mirrodin that could help me?

The best 4 Equips are (IMO):
Lightning Greaves
Loxodon Warhammer
Bonesplitter
Skullclamp
Skullclamp is really good for both Aggro and Control decks so you might want to try it out.

My main reasoning for needing the defense boost is I don't feel like seeing my "hammered, double-splittered, and uber-ticked off" Phantom Warrior getting burnt to cinders by a mere common man's shock... See what I mean?
The Greaves may make it in, but i'd rather use the equip to boost him than surely protect him...

Try the swords from Darksteel.
Fire/Ice is best, but Light/Shadow can also work. They give you the boost you need, and work quite with with the unblockableness of the creatures you're going to be equipping. Not too bad cost eaither.

So if you are making an unblockable blue deck, I would assume you have already put 4x Whispersilk Cloak in your decklist. Try these:
Loxodon Warhammer (excellent life gainer)
Empyrial Plate (works well with Mask of Memory)
Banshee Blade (equipped creature is basically a Slith)
Fireshrieker (hey, double-strike!)
Golem-Skin Gauntlets (for multiple equips)
Vulshok Battlegear (for sheer power and toughness)

Please put in Greaves. This kind of deck hits your opponent hard, right? Well, Greaves will help you hit them FAST as well, along with a nice untargetable effect (anti-shock and whatnot).
Whispersilk is kind of redundant, since most of his guys, if not all, are unblockable in the first place. Loxodon is a must. Greaves are a must.
Here's a list of possible consideration:
-Fireshrieker: Great way to stack the damage nice and high.
-Vulshock Morningstar: It is a comprimise of Scimitar and Battlegear: cost 2 to play, 2 to equip, +2/+2.
-Yotian Soldier: Since this is an offensive deck, try evening it out with a little defense. This is also good with Vulshok Gauntlets.

well, i haven't bought that many Darksteel boosters (lol, only 2), but i got 1 equipment that's not bad. Vulshok Morningstar. it gives ur creature +2/+2. i never use it though, because power-ups are only for my green deck. but, mirrodin, i've bought tons of those. um, yeah. Empyrial Plate is nice, so is Loxodon Warhammer. The gain life is NICE. Mask of Memory doesn't really do much. just gives u the card-draw option. maybe Vulshok Battlegear? +3/+3. That means, with the Vulshok Morningstar, it gets +5/+5. Not bad, considering that they're unblockable.

Sword of Fire and Ice is a very nice pick for the deck. The creature won't get burned off, bounced (unless it's Aether Spellbomb), gets a +2/+2 boost, lets you draw a card, and "Destroy target creature with toughness of 2 or less." It's relatively inexpensive for 5 abilities, too (3 to cast, 2 to equip).
Other good picks are Skullclamp, Bonesplitter, Loxodon Warhammer, and Empyrial Plate.
