I just got my volume from Amazon. I know many of you can read it in Shonen Jump, but it still seemed worthy of making a thread.
For all of you who don't know, Millennium World 5 catalogues the fight against Diabound at the dead village of Kul-Elna, and the summoning of the Dark God Zorc. There's also the revealed revelation that the World of Memory is it fact...the greatest Shadow Game ever, the Ultimate Shadow R.P.G!
As usual, the textual editing was quite great, putting Duelist's ****ty job to shame. There were a few of the dreaded Viz Boxes O' Doom, but it's forgiveable here because they aren't used every single bloody time *glares at Duelist* But to be fair, the Millennium World editors do have more time to do a good job.
The art in Millennium World is always excellent, and really, this just makes me cry for what happened in the anime. Manga Zorc...looks...so...cool...and...doesn't...have... a...dragon...member. Well, he does, but it's hidden by shadow.
Since in Shonen Jump now Millennium World will be cut to one chapter because of GX, maybe we can hope that extra effort will be put into these twilight chapters. We can hope.

Yeah, it's quite odd. I just got issue fifty with MW #48, and yes it was sweetness on a page!!
EDIT: By the way, just how many chapters long is this part of the Manga?

Yeah, I hope they take their time with the editing. That'll make it worth the wait. :D

That dragon looks like a *Mouth gets zipped*, the best part was the duel between little yugi and yami bakura

Yeah, but Zorc's dragon head is at least shrouded in shadows in the manga.
For whom it may concern, the volume was once again given a minimalist 'Contains Fantasy Violence' rating (I think it gets it by default. Pfft, the other manga can shove their 'realistic violence' right up their...covers), and was even thinner than last volume (!). It's quite amusing to watch as thinner and thinner paper is used each time....

When yami, yugi and their pals (well just honda, azun and jounchi) went into the millenium puzzle discovered alot of stuff that happened during atnems life while alive and conquering Zork and Bakura that would be the memory arc.

well whati don't like about the manga version is that the fight with possesed seto comes at the very end after zork is destroyed which makes no sense cuz if b4 the pharoah sealed his soul away to stop zork, he wouldn't have been able to fight seto lol. that's where i think the anime fixes it a little bit.

So....Zorc's groin dragon is replaced by.....? I agree though, Millennium World's translation is better than Duelist's, but I think the reason for that is that both the original seven volumes and Millennium World were serialised in Shonen Jump over here first before being collected, while Duelist wasn't and thus there was no need for thorough editing - they could get away with a rush job with that than with a magazine.

I only wish I was. And with no Shonen Jump in England...I can safely say that I'm well and truly buggered.
Hey, at least I get the fairly poorly-edited Duelist every two months, right? Right?
