Greensboro, NC Vs System Pro Circuit Qualifier

From I-40 take exit 211 (if traveling east, turn left, if traveling west, turn right). Then turn left onto Burnt Poplar Rd. The hotel is on the right.

Time:
Doors open at 8:00 AM; tournament begins at 11:00 AM.
Registration closes ten minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Any player who wants to enroll after registration has closed will be able to do so, but will receive a round one match loss. Players arriving after round two has been paired will not be able to enroll in the tournament.
Entry Fee:
$25.00 - Credit cards are not accepted at the event site. Anyone wishing to use a credit card to pay for their tournament entry must preregister. Please remember that preregistration closes on the Thursday before the event at 9:00 AM.

The first 24 players to preregister will receive a Promo card! If less then 24 pre-register, then the remainder will be given to those who register on site.
Tournament Format:
Sealed Pack. Each player will receive five packs Leigons of Superheroes to construct their deck with. The playoff rounds will be booster draft.
Tournament Structure:
Swiss format (the number of rounds depends on the number of players) followed by a playoff cut. The number of rounds is determined by the number of players. Each round is one game and has a time limit of 30 minutes.
4-8 players - 4 rounds (top 2)
9-16 players - 5 rounds (top 4)
17-22 players - 6 rounds (top 8)
23-36 players - 7 rounds (top 8)
37-52 players - 8 rounds (top 8)
53-94 players - 9 rounds (top 8)
Prizes:
• 1st Place - $250 Visa gift card, Vs. playmat , Vs. deck tin, Extended-art foil prize promo card, UDE Vs. System shirt
• 2nd Place - 24 Vs. System boosters, Vs. playmat, Vs. deck tin, Extended-art foil prize promo card, UDE Vs. System shirt
• 3rd - 4th Place - 12 Vs. System boosters, Vs. System metal deck box, Extended-art foil prize promo card, UDE Vs. System shirt

• 1st amateur that didn’t T8 - Vs. playmat, Vs. deck tin, 6 Vs. System boosters

In addition, the first 24 players to register will receive a Extended-art foil participation promo card. Promo cards will be given to those who Pre-Register first, then the remainder to those who register on site.
Deck Registration:
Players will have 20 minutes to open their packs, sort the cards, register all the cards on the checklist, and turn in the registered cards and checklist to the judges. All registered decks will then redistributed at random. Players then have 30 minutes to construct a deck of at least 30 cards from the cards they receive. There is currently no side-deck in the Vs. System, so once the deck is completed and the decklist is registered and submitted, the deck must match this list throughout the entire tournament.
Judge Certification:
Level 2 Vs Judge certification will be available at this event. Contact Chad Daniel at chad@starcitygames.com for more information on testing. Anyone interested in testing must contact Chad in advance.
Side Events:
Booster draft and constructed side events will be offered throughout the day.
Trading:
While trading is fine, please note that buying/selling cards with anyone except for our authorized dealer(s), or solicting to do so elsewhere, is strictly forbidden at this event. Failure to obey this rule may result in both the buyer and the seller being removed from the event without refund, and banned from attending future events.
Star City Events also reserves the right to limit the amount of space being occupied by any one individual while trading, and does not allow the use of suitcases, handcarts, luggage carts, etc. to be used for the purpose of transporting excessive amounts of trade stock.
