As before I restarted my game, everytime I seemed to be getting MissingNo my game went off, I don't know if I'll get it this time, so there's the possibility that I won't be able to clone TM's, so I've already thought of the Pokémon I want to have in my team, but I'm of kind of out of ideas for the movesets. I'm kind of used to GSC moves:
VENUSAUR
RAICHU
DUGTRIO
GYARADOS
ALAZAZAM/GENGAR
ARCANINE
Silent Doll

Golem is a good pokemon its good ground pkemon and if you can get zapdos or dragonite (has electric attacks) instead of raichu will be fine and arcanaine maybe charizard ( has flying advantage) or magmar ( puch and fire abilities) Well thats my POV...

Is it a good idea having the Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres/Mewtwo/Starter/Other team?

Venusaur: Razor Leaf, Swords Dance, Body Slam, Sleep Powder.
Razor Leaf for those Critical hits. Body Slam and Swords Dance for nice physical damage. Sleep powder to keep your opponent unable to attack.
Raichu: Thunderwave, Thunderbolt, Body Slam/Double-Edge/Surf, Double Team/Reflect
T-wave and Thunderbolt are obvious and Body Slam/Double Edge is because of Raichu's limited move selection. Surf is the best possibility because you can then eliminate the rock/ground type pokemon that are immune to electric attacks and defensive against normal moves. DT/Reflect helps its low defense.
Dugtrio: Slash, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Double Team/Reflect.
Slash for critical hits. Earthquake for a strong STAB move. Rock Slide for the flyers. DT/Reflect for defensive purposes. I'd pick Golem over Dugtrio, but if you love Dugtrio so much, I guess you could use it. Watch out for Dugtrio's low defense and hp.
Golem: Earthquake, Rock Slide, Explosion, Body Slam/DoubleEdge/Submission. This is an all out attacker. Pick a move and attack! Just stay away from special moves because its special is not that great. Make sure you take advantage of its nice attack and defense.
Gyarados: Surf, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Fire Blast/Hyper Beam
Simple attacker.
Alakazam: Thunderwave, Seismic Toss/Reflect, Psychic, Recover
T-wave to stall your opponent. Seismic Toss for any Slowbros or Starmies or other psychics. Psychic for STAB and to use its awesome special. Recover for obvious healing purposes. Reflect if you feel like boosting Alakazam's defense. I would pick Alakazam but Gengar is also good.
Gengar: Confuse Ray, Psychic, Mega Drain/Thunderbolt/Haze (pick 2)
Get haze if you are able to breed and trade from G/S/C. This moveset basically takes advantage of Gengar's monster special stat by using special attacks. Confuse Ray just helps to stall your opponent and hopefully get a lucky hit.
Arcanine: Flamethrower, Body Slam/Double Edge, Mimic, Double Team/Substitute/Reflect
Wow, I totally butchered this moveset. Arcanine needs a fire move, which is provided by Flamethrower. Body Slam/Double Edge is a need because you need to have a nice solid physical move. Since Arcanine does not have a wide range of good moves, Mimic is there so that you can borrow one of your opponent's moves. DT/Sub/Reflect is just for more support.
I tried really hard to try to limit my use of tms except for some that you can buy or trade for in Celadon City. Hope your team turns out well.

God in heaven, no. It's hard to get cheesier than that. =[

VENUSAUR
RAICHU
DUGTRIO
GYARADOS
ALAZAZAM/GENGAR
ARCANINE
Dugtrio's stats are weak
Gyarados dies to ANYTHING electric (I've used thundershock from a lower level pokemon, and one-hit KO'd Lance's Gyarados)
Genagar is better than Alakazam; better stats, immune to fighting & normal
Blastoise is better than Venusaur, but it might be too late for you... (Earthquake, Blizzard, Surf, whatever = power)
