in cards that let u search ur deck for basic pokemon, are u aloud to get claw, root, and mysterious fossils?

examples- Lannette's Net Search, Pokeball, Dual Ball, Pokemon Fan Club, etc.

that's a good question. I don't think you're allowed to though. Mysterious Fossil says to play Mysterious Fossil as if it were a Basic Poke', and while in play count it as a basic Poke'. Now I take that to mean that it's a trainer card until it's in play. I could be wrong, but that's the way I read it as.

No you cannot search for Mysterious, Root, nor Claw Fossils when getting a Basic Pokémon - they are trainers and only count as Pokémon when in play (on your Bench or Active).
