Transform glitch: Unlimited movepool for anything that learn's mimic

Because it's likely that this glitch will be removed in the English version of the game and quite possibly later instalments of the Japanese game, it's probably advisable to import a copy of D/P ASAP.

Oh, and confirmation from those who already have the game would be nice.

after the League [since you can catch smeargle only with Poketore,
which is after the League]

It's probably worth mentioning that a similar glitch existed in GSC, although it required Metronome and thus was much harder to pull off.

Get into a double battle

Have your staters be a Ditto and a Pokemon with Mimic.

Have Ditto Transform and Mimic Transform

Swap Ditto out for your perfect-moveset Smeargle

Transform into Smeargle and kill the Mimicer

At the end of the battle the pokemon now has the Smeargle's moveset

Hopefully the online play of battle revolution will not allow pokemon possessing moves they cannot learn.

Yeah, would be gay to finally get battle revolution, and find some people go around being gay with something like that.

Also, rather than cross chop, why not use dynamic punch? Since you can't miss, that's 150 power w/garunteed confuse.

a lv16 Smeargle and a level 28 Ditto.

It works.

Now here's the bigger story:
I was searching for an attack to Mimic, and more importantly, a double battle.

So I went on and Sketched a Submission from some Machoke.
Then, I went on to a place Iv'e never been to, and luckily
the first trainers were an optional double battle.

Did as follow:
Ditto used Transform
Mime.Jr used Mimic
Switch to Smeargle
Mime.Jr used Meditate [filler]
Mime.Jr used mimic
Mime.Jr was murdered then..
...
-End of battle-
Mime.Jr had 5/25 PPed Submission, and that was his ONLY attack.

So:
Transfer over your Smeargles from Emerald unless you feel like training one for a long time.
Transfer a Pokemon who learned Mimic from that move tutor.
Ahh, sweet Brave Birding Gyarados.

So, in short, my game value's increased.
I'm satisfied.
I MIGHT at some point buy a Japanese Emerald for Mimic.
