I have been thinking about this for a while, and it involves Ev training. Would you say that ev training should start from birth (egg hatch), or by pokemon in the wild. Because while egg hatching has it's advantages, if you ev train with a wild poke you can have equally good results (i'm lookin at you raquaza). i myself would lean more towards egg training, but what do you think?

Start EV training whenever you decide to use that particular species of pokemon, regardless of if it just came out of an egg, or is a wild Lv 70 pokemon. The end result will be the same. You can fully EV train a LV 100 pokemon or LV 5. Doesn't matter, so long as you do it before using it in battle.

It more depends on the moves/ability/nature and stuff you'll need (Like if you have to breed for a move or two you'll be forced to start with a lower Lv pokemon).

Got EVs?

I'm sorry? Are you guessing, contradicting yourself, or just not making sense?

Lv100? For the EVs to take effect it take some levels.
You think you will one day wake up with your level 100 Pokemon having +5attack?
Unless you can still level him, then sorry Mister, no effects.

What I posted is correct. You can fully EV train a Lv 100 pokemon. In battles, It will not gain exp points, but it will gain all effort points. You can also use vitamins as you would with a lower-level pokemon. You get the stat increase by depositing then withdrawing the pokemon from the box.

This is true.

And on a related note, the way to get a LV100 pokemon without battling is by using rare candy/day care---neither give effort.

Damn I failed.

Yeah Clown Master pointed that out in a PM to me, and I later one read about the box thing. [Or more correctly, I read about that thing some time ago and
then remembered it]
Yeah sorry but you couldv'e added that you need the box trick.
