I play 1-2 in my Shaman deck. The horde has plenty of protectors. Granted Horde doesn't have a 2 drop 6 defender or anything like Parvink. Most of the totems can be protected around the 4 or 5 turn. Worth running 1-2x, they are mostly a distraction from what your really doing.

Like 90% of playable allies have 1 or 2 health points. Meaning that if they take any damage, then they die from it. But if you're playing a deck that has a lot of high hp characters then try it out in your shaman build. Worst case scenario, it heals a couple points, then it absorbs one of your opponent's attacks. Not a bad shift in tempo, but it's not a game winner by any means.

Healing Stream Totem is decent but there are tons of other stuff that are more useful.

I prefer the Earthbind & Searing Totem, but its not too bad a card in decks with multiple protectors.

I like to put one or two in my deck. It pretty much heals for two (if not more) and really distracts your opponent, as I have found people get paranoied about totems.

The only totem that really bothered me was the searing one and that's it. As I play a control mage, healing isn't anything. I just overagressive my tempo and that usually stops or kills their monsters, so healing becomes obsolete. Any protectors I will just polymorph or fire blast. And not being able to ready is not too much of a bad thing, most of my deck is abilities after all.

The totems are great, but people are just too worry some over them, and that's why they lose. I could care less about their totems. I usually just kill them with a parvinka and end it. or wait till they build up a collection of them and frost nova them dead ftw.

...Too bad Frost Nova doesn't damage Totems. Read the specific ruling FAQ's. AoE's don't hit Totems.

You = Cheater. Read your rule book closely, Totems are NEVER considered Allies for effects, thus cards like Rain of Fire, Frost Nova, etc, which say Each Hero and Ally, cannot hit Totems. They are not Allies.
