The only way to get another is to get a Linnone with pick up{I think at Lv100} and walk around with it.

thanx bleakdragon. i just gave Tyranitar thuderbolt. im gonna beat the elite four a couple more times to get flamethrower. i think i can trade in calm mind and sunny day. im sunk for earthquake though, since my linoone is at 28.......

And Blakeikein teach it dig, I guess.

neo daudulas man
10-26-2006, 03:45 PM
toxic sounds like an interesting choice. why should i use dig though? also, i did hear somewhere that hidden power was a good choice, but i can't figure out how to use HP.

Bleakdragon55
10-26-2006, 06:58 PM
ya, that is why I don't recommond Hidden Power, So I don't use it.

The reason I said Dig was because without Earthquake it needs a Ground move.

Also Kyogre learns Clam Mind by level, try seeing if it can re-learn it.

Also put your new editons in your first post so others will know how to help

neo daudulas man

ya thats a good idea. where is the move relearner guy? i have one heart scale left, so i might as well use it.

The move re-learner is at the town with the professor, left side of the grass where it's raining Ashes..

Dig? That's crap. Get Earthquake or don't.
I'll help you..

Metagross:
Sludge Bomb
Earthquake
Meteor Mash
Agility/Explosion/Whatever you may want

Blaziken:
Blaze Kick
Earthquake
Sky Uppercut/Brick break
Bulk up/Overeath/Rock Slide/Whatever

Salamence:
Earthquake [Whooo]
Aerial Ace
Dragon Claw
Dragon Dance

or something like that..

Tyranitar:
Earthquake
Thunderbolt
Dragon Dance/Crunch?
Rock Slide

Not too good with original ones.. may want to look around and copy that Focus Punch/Thunderbolt/Subtitute/Forgot Tyranitar..

Sceptile:
Crunch
Leaf Blade
Thunderpunch
Dragon Claw

Kyogre:
Thunder
Calm Mind
Surf
Ice Beam

i think i can fix kyogre pretty quick. Metagross levels up into agility right? and i have no idea where i'm going to get all those earthquakes. i think i'm getting some in a pokemon trade, so i'll use them then. thanxs guys, i'll work on it. i don't think theres any way i can get close to that salamence though.

Salamence:
Aerial - TM
Claw - TM
Earthquake - TM
Dragon Dance - Raise a male Gyarados to LV50, then breed it with a female Bagon, Shelgon, or Salamence.

You COULD always switch Dance for something like..
Rock Slide/Brick Break or even stay with Flamethrower [not recomended though]

Metagross - For Agility you'll have to raise a Metang to 56 and then evolve, if you wish to go into a lv60 open level.
Otherwise, he learns it at level 66.

yah, i'm gonna go with brick break on that one. i sold all my tms about a year ago cause i was retarded and thought they were worthless. i just got back into the game like a month ago. i think i can get claw and aireal ace in a trade though. since i already evolved metagross, i'll just have to go with it. these battles are mostly for fun though, not so much competive like netbattle. im playing against friends. thanx for the help. also, how does HP work? could you explain that to me?

HP? Hidden Power?

Questions?

holy crap! i think i'm gonna pass on that one........

Hidden Powar works differently on each individual pokemon. It has something to do with its stats. Maybe using Pomeg berry or some other berry might help to reduce your stats till it matches the desired hidden power? I'm not too sure obout it. There is a formula to calculate it on serebii.net. And from the thread, with the title: 'Easy way to get to level 100', I also found out that you can clone rare candies. So, you can also clone TM26.If it works, get as many as you can because it is a very useful move.

neo daudulas man
10-27-2006, 09:20 PM
yah, but i think thats only for emereld.......

infinitejusticex19a
10-27-2006, 10:09 PM
clone it in Emerald and trade it when you want it.

neo daudulas man
10-28-2006, 08:29 AM
im afraid i don't know anyone with Emerald. and can't emerald not trade until they beat the elite four?

infinitejusticex19a
10-28-2006, 09:56 AM
If that is the case, your only option would be chain breeding...which will take quite sometime. However, it seems that all your pokemon can't learn it through breeding so I am not so sure how to get them to learn it. The last option would be (if you have another version) playing another version till the part TM26 is found and trading it and restarting....that's a crazy idea I admit...Anyway, I forgot, don't waste your time training Linoone because the leveled up Pickup only works in Emerald.

darn... well, i think i can get one of them in a trade, so i'll give it to metagross

hey everyone. I just managed to raise my team to past level 50 each, and i was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions on how i did with movesets and such. thats guys.

Salamance
Aerial Ace/Hidden Power[Flying]
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Dragon Dance(egg move)/Brick Break/Dragon Claw/Fire Blast

Tyranitar
Dragon Dance(egg move, I think...)
Rock Slide
Aerial Ace
Earthquake

or

Substitute
Focus Punch
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt

Metagross
Meteor Mash
Explosion
Agility
Earthquake/Shadow Ball

Sceptile
Leaf Blade
Leech Seed(egg move)
Hidden Power[Ice]
Substitute

Blaziken
Sky Uppercut
Rock Slide
Overheat
Earthquake

Kyogre
ice beam
thunder
calm mind
surf

Kyogre's got the best moveset you can have on him. good work with that one.

i got my tyranitar in a trade when he was at level 5, i think the guy sharked him or something. i didn't ask, i just wanted the pkmn. i did already waste earthquake on a flygon, and i don't know how to get another one. thanx in advance.

You did pretty nicely with original movesets, but they need work. What I suggested(don't use them if you don't want to use them or can't) are some advanced movesets-improvise if you want. Example-instead of Hidden Power[Flying-70] on Salamence, you could use Aerial Ace.

Otherwise, like I said, you did decent. For ingame movesets, that should work out very nicely.

Don't play competitive with those movesets though-you'll get torn apart.

neo daudulas man
10-29-2006, 02:20 PM
i can't use a couple of them. should you use focus punch if you don't have substitute??????

infinitejusticex19a
10-29-2006, 08:26 PM
Well, you could try...if you're lucky and the opponent uses a non-damaging move or has his attacks to miss that turn, it'll work. However, chances are like....5%. You could try to get it from FireRed/LeafGreen. If not, just replace those two moves with something else. After all, Tyranitar has quite a decent move pool.

You can use Focus Punch without Substitute, but it's very hard. You have to be very strong with prediction, although FP is usually only used a lot in competetive teams.

If the subpuncher is a problem for you, you could try this...

Breloom(hey, it works) @ Leftovers/(whatever)
Adamant nature(if possible)
EVs-whatever. You're working on an ingame team, right? EVs/Nature don't truly matter there.
Focus Punch/Spore/Leech Seed/(Mach Punch/Brick Break/another physical move or Giga Drain if you want)

I've used the Sporepunch Breloom at the Battle Frontier on Emerald version, and I've had a lot of success. I've also seen Breloom used competitively effectively.

Again, like I said before, you had some pretty nice ingame movesets. Good job!

infinitejusticex19a

wow, you said you had lot's of success using that Breloom combo...I didn't. I cloned TM01 and gave it to Raichu and I had a lot more success with it. The moveset's like this:

Focus Punch
Reversal
Thunderbolt
Substitute

My problem with Breloom was that it was too slow to spore the opponent and Aerial Ace finishes it off in 1 hit. Did you give it Quick Claw?

Near
10-31-2006, 06:09 AM
You CAN give Breloom some major Speed EVs and even a +Speed nature.

I would go for:
Breloom@Whatever
252 Attack 6 Sp.Def 252 Speed
[Whatever]
Jolly/Adamant Nature
Focus Punch
Spore
Substitute
Leech Seed

Or whatever.

I recommend you to start a new game if you need those TMs again.

yah, i just started over my fire red, so i think i can get my earthquake tm there, dragon claw also...

infinitejusticex19a

One tip, this was my way of doing it before i discovered cloning: Just trade a lvl 100 uber from another version to the newly started one. You can finish the game in half a day that way. The disobedience will only be a minor problem cos ingame trainers and their low level pokemon can't deal much damage to you.

neo daudulas man

thats a good idea. i think i'll trade one of mine into the game....

My ONLY problem with Breloom was that it was too slow to spore the opponent and Aerial Ace finishes it off in 1 hit. Did you give it Quick Claw?

Well, I used it mostly at the Battle Frontier, and it had like... around 221 speed or so, which was pretty decent compared to a lot of things. *shrugs* Breloom isn't slow but he sure as hell isn't fast...

:-P But yeah, Breloom is my favorite subpuncher.

I don't use subpunchers. For my fighting type, if any, I'll use Heracross or Blaziken... heh, I'd even use Houndoom as a reversaler.

But yeah, Breloom plain rocks in my opinion... Spore em, seed em, punch em, repeat...

Does Breloom learn Agility or anything? A lot of opening pokemon these days(competitively) aren't things that have fire moves/aerial ace/psychic. Agility once or something, if he has that, then do the spore/(seed/punch) combo.

Like I said, I don't use subpunchers, or fighting types, much. I'm currently running Salamence/Sceptile/Houndoom/Alakazam/Milotic/Metagross. Not a single fighting move among them all.

That's my opinion on the matter.
