Here is a new mechanic I jus though of, it revive Banding and call it Fortify here are 3 card examples.
Defender of Bright Light 2W
Creature-Human Knight
Firststrike
Fortify(You can add this cards power and toughness to target creature until end of turn)

Druid of Light 2GW
Creature-Human Druid
Trample
Fortify(You can add this cards power and toughness to target creature until end of turn)
3/3
Defending the Week 2W
Instant
All creatures you control gets Fortify until end of turn.
Another Mechanic that I like to see is Phasing here is a nice card I think be cool to see with Phasing.
Mother Bear 1UG
Creature-Illusion Bear
Phasing(This creature is removed from the game until your next turn.)
When this creature comes into play all other creatures get a +1/+1 counter.

Compulsive Illusion 2UR
Creature-Illusion
Flying
Phasing(This creature is removed from the game until your next turn.)
When this creature comes into play deal 2 damage to target creature or player.

2 Sand Mana symble: Tap, Reduce all damage done to you or a creature you control by 2.
Let me know what your thoughts are I like to see thease have a comeback in future sets. :D
