Ditch the entire team and raise a team of 6 hariyama's at LV30

Remind me which gym is #5 and what type pokemon are there and I'll try and help you. (It's been a while).

And how is it that you have two Marshstomps?

the 5 gym is your ''father'' who uses normal type pokemons

LOL, I meant why bother with the same two on the same team?!?!

Anyway, Father has normal types---viggy and slaking if I remember, so FTG moves are the ones you'll want. Heal before you fight them. Try and inflict a status condition (like t-wave) at the start and that should help you win. Use slaking's ability (slack off) against it. If possible, have some revives/super potions/etc too. Remember that Zigs pick these things up for free so it's a good idea to have one or more in your party just for pickup. Hope this helps.

Raise, that is all I suggest, and since you can go to 50 now, get yourself a Swampert on the one without Bide.

Then buy ALOT of Super Potions.

Norman has normal pokemon, and look at my breeding thread to find out the way I got 2 marshtomps.

ps: most of my team are stronger.
pps: I swapped mudkip for a machop that I'm training.

I you have protect yet you can teach it to one of your pokemon.
When he brings out slaking, just use protect every time he attacks and attack him when he's slacking off.

i would say only to raise two or three poke at the most at one time, otherwise they will all be low level, instead of a few very high level ones. i have experianced both, and the obvious choice is to raise just a few. for your gym problem, your machop should do the trick, as it's fighting.
