I decided to make a thread where users can post their stories on catching the 7 Legendaries of RSE.

My Emerald Story (shortened version):

Groudon - Timer Ball
Kyogre - Timer Ball
Rayquaza - Timer Ball
Latias (WTF!?) (right outside of Registeel's cave nonetheless!) - Master Ball
Registeel - Timer Ball
Regice - Timer Ball
and
Regirock.

I'll sig the person who can guess what rocky got caught in.

No. I meant the 7 normally obtainables (w/o nintendo events or shark/ar/cb/whatever) on Emerald or the 6 on RS.

They give them out at all sorts of places, not just Nintendo events.

I use ultra balls for everything except if I see a shiny---that's what my master is for---just in case.

I use pokeballs for fun. Ive caught all of them in pokeballs except Rayquaza. I always carry like 500 pokemballs on me. Ive restarted the games a few times. lol.

You got Sapphire right, [altough I usually write Shappire for no reason] but it's Rayquaza [like Ray and Quaza..]

Go find my old Blue game, I caught one with the 8th gym town's Pokeballs.

Mewtwo(Blue Version)-Pokeball(...i used ALL my ultra balls, ALL my great balls, and almost all my pokeballs before that punk was finally in the pokeball.)
Moltres(Leaf Green version)-ONE pokeball(I literally threw the ball, he had no status things, low health, and I caught it.)
Groudon(Emerald version)-Dive Ball(or Net Ball/NEST ball[for weaker pokemon!], don't remember)
Lugia(Silver version)-pokeball(so...frikkin...hard...)
Ho-oh(Silver version)-masterball(screw it-that thing was lvl 70 and i had lvl 50 pokemon.)
Latias(sapphire version)-masterball
Snorlax(blue version)-masterball(my first time catching a snorlax-i got pissed cuz i was outta balls, so i used the MB. 'twas dumb of me, but whatever-that's when i caught mewtwo with a pokeball ^_^)
Zapdos(blue/leaf green)-pokeball
articuno(blue/leaf green)-pokeball
Chansey(blue)-1-3 safari ball(s)-only did this once, since then i've never caught another chansey
Suicune(crystal version)-great ball
Rayquaza(sapphire)-great ball
Latias(or Suicune, don't remember which)-great ball(just threw it and i caught it, no weakenings or anything)

Well, earlier someone in this thread said that the button mashing doesnt work for catching pokemon but I find that that statement is untrue.

My cousin found somthing on the net called "Turn any pokeball into a masterball." and it actually worked. No lie, he caught a Mewtwo wit 2 pokeballs without hurting it at all.

You're 1/2 correct-

In Red/Blue version(possibly Yellow too, I think it's just R/B though), holding B and either up or down or something while throwing a pokeball automatically upgraded it to the next ball (only works for pokeballs and greatballs.), so you could have ultra balls for the price of great balls. However, this didn't work with ultra balls-it stayed an ultraball. What your cousin did was get very lucky-there's a catch rate on each pokemon, and your cousin obviously got very lucky, probably a one-in-a-billion chance, that a pokeball would catch Mewtwo without you having to harm it.
