I've heard like 30 different sides to this question... what does winning a genin tournament do for you if you win and get the pin? some people say that when you win 2 you get an invite to some tournament others don't know and i've been looking on the bandai site and couldn't find much. so if you know, please share^^

It is basically just a symbol saying you won. The ones that matter are the Kage tornaments in which you need to have won a Jounin event. Genin=store tourney
Chunnin=Regionals type deal Jouin=Large Event Kage=Worlds.

Atleast I think thats how it works.

Within each Village, the premier series will feature players’ ability to rise in rank from “Academy Level” (That's what you are right now.) to “Genin,” “Chunin,” and “Jonin,” until one player in each region will become “Kage” of their Village. Then in the North American championships, players from every village will compete in one all out contest to become the “Sannin” or Legendary Ninja of North America.

The winner of each Ninja Level tournament will be awarded the title that corresponds to that level. In addition, players that win a certain number of lower leveled tournaments will also advance to that next higher rank. This system will reward not only the winning players; those with the best win/loss records, but those that continue their participation. Each player who achieves this new level of Ninja mastery, either through continued participation, or victory, will be awarded a pin to mark their advancement and achievement.

The Premier Events will begin with the first “Genin Level” event the weekend of October 13-15 and will be heralded by a national TV commercial that will be broadcast on Cartoon Network, beginning October 1st which will send viewers and fans to hobby stores to participate in this first Premier Series event!

Then, “Chunin” or regional Village events and “Jonin” or larger qualifiers will take place across the country leading up to the North American Championships at Gen Con Indy 2007.

Besides rising in rank and esteem in the world of the Naruto CCG, great prizes will accompany the tournaments at every level. From exclusive promo cards, accessories and play-mats at the store level, to trendy high-tech prizes like iPods, game systems, and Laptops at the higher level events. The winner of the Legendary Ninja tournament will be awarded an exclusive prize that will be the ultimate prize for any Naruto fan. This prize will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Rest assured, it will be a prize that only Bandai: America’s premier anime entertainment company could provide.
