View Full Version : Can't Decide Between Two Pokemon!

I have two team related questions about deciding between two Pokémon for both of them. I was wondering if you guys could help me with them.

My team consists of Enperuto, Rentoraa, and Lucario, until I get some replies here. (Water, Ice, Electric, Steel, Fighting.) I know there isn't a fire type, I plan to catch Hiidoran near the end of the game.

1. I'm having trouble deciding between Grass Pokémon to be in my team. I'm stuck on having Leafia, Eevee's Grass-Type evolution (Base Stats= HP: 65 ATK: 110 DEF: 130 SP. ATK: 60 SP. DEF: 65 SPD: 95), or having Yukinooh, the Pine-Tree Pokémon that is Grass/Ice (Base Stats= HP:90 ATK:92 DEF:75 SP. ATK:92 SP. DEF:85 SPD: 60).
I also know that Yukinooh has an awesome special ability that summons a snowstorm to battle when he is sent out. However, he is a little weak in grass because his ATK is lower, and grass is physical. He's also double-weak to fire. I don't know, could you help me with this?

2. I'm having trouble deciding on whether or not to put Gardevior or Erureido (Male Fighting/Psychic Gardevior) in my team. Which one would suit my team better?

(Finally, I know that there are many many many ways to improve my team, this one is only to get me through the game. If you could find any weaknesses in my team and your suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.) Thanks for any reply.

1. Pine-Tree (Just cool and ya)

2. Going for a new gen poke Erureido, if not, Gardevior.

Leafia is quite superior. Beside, I don't like that other type.
X2 weakness to Fire
Weakness to Bug
Weakness to Poison
Weakness to Flying
Weakness to Rock
Weakness to Metal
Weakness to Fighting
This is crazy, 7 weaknesses and one of them is a Double.

Leafia has -
Ice
Fire
Bug
Poison

Sure, she doesn't get that ability, or some ups from using Ice, but her stats are also superior.
I would try a Leafia -
Adamant/Naughty/Lonely/Brave
Swords Dance/Curse
Leaf Blade
Synthesis
Scizor Cross

I would choose Glacia over both of them, but your choice.

Also I would pick Erureido. Not only is he new, but his move-pool is excellent and his stats are also amazing.

Damn that's a good moveset. There's not much you can do with him, since he's Sp. Attack sucks. A Sunnybeamer with HP Fire wouldn't quite work here.

Although that Sunny Day ability makes it all worth it. I'm definitely putting him on my team.

Well, Pure Grass with some non-Grass moves is better here, you only want to dual type when the dual gives some unsane advantage (example: Anything/Steel generally has only one or two real weaknesses), Leafia is the better choice here.

Erureido has the counteroffensive against Darktype, I'd go with him and just make sure to have something Electric to harm those Flying types that can get annoying.

Thunderpunch?
If Kirlia can learn it you can always transfer one from Emerald after teaching it to her.. [or him, for that matter]

Yeah I forgot Leafia's ability, but since her Sp blows I didn't want to get into Solar Beam/whatever.
Though you might want to put it, just for Synthesis and her ability, but oh well.

Leafia's ability is tough to use since it has such a horrid S.Def. Sunny Day would let anything Fire walk all over her.

In Double battles it might show more use if you have a Fire-Type along side Leafia.

Too bad this generation is lacking Fire types.

Yeah, I guess Physical Atker Leafia is better overall. Now, to construct a team and make a topic.

Wow, thanks, this really helped a lot. I think I'll use Leafia, ecspecially on account to what Breaker's Revenge said (by the way I love the moveset), and everybody is leaning towards Erureido, so I'll go with him. It looks like my team will be
Enperuto
Lucario
Rentorra
Eureido
Leafia
?Someotherguy?

Thanks.
