I messed up on the team that I was going to use to beat the Elite Four with. I set up the team to counter the first four members, and then use what ever items I had left heal my Pokemon then take on the champion. But since I am using the Emerald game I needed to set up my team for water Pokemon, but instead I set up a team to beat the Ruby/Sapphire Champion Steve, steel/dual types, and I need advice on how to beat the Emerald Champion Wallace. Here is the exact team: Not in order: Forgot my equip items but had 7 Sitrus berries: Right before Champion: Please help:

He was in the elite 4 at the time...
If you lose in the elite four, just level up your guys and try again.

Shiftry
Level: 50
Nature: Impish
Ability: Early Bird
Hp: 162
Atk: 117
Def: 82
Sp.Atk:91
Sp.def:78
Speed: 99
Faint Attack>16/20
Giga Drain>1/5
Growth>30/40
Extrasensory>28/30
OK, the first problem is an Impish nature; all 3 of your attacks are Special, so to decrease its Sp Atk is really bad, even if you have Growth. Also, since yours' is Early Bird, give it Rest; Rest will heal its HP and should wake it up upon being used, if not within the next turn. I'd consider dropping extrasensory since it gains no STAB and instead replace it with Explosion, which, seeing as how it has a base 250 and Shiftry's ATK is better than its Sp, it should work better...
Camerupt
Level: 46
Nature: Brave
Ability: Magma Armor
Hp: 132
Atk: 129
Def: 79
Sp.Atk:112
Sp.Def:76
Speed: 40
Overheat>3/5
Rock Slide>8/10
Eruption>4/5
Earthquake>7/10
Magma Armor sucks; why would anybody send out an Ice against a Fire with Rock Slide? Give it its other ability, which I believe is Oblivious. Anyways, Overheart and Eruption do NOT work well together. I mean, once you use Overheat, Eruption now does nothing. Consider losing one of the two (prob Eruption) for Curse.
Aggron
Level: 45
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Rock Head
Hp: 128
Atk: 114
Def: 156
Sp.Atk:74
Sp.Def:68
Speed: 70
Rock Tomb>7/10
Iron Tail>11/15
Earthquake>8/10
Take Down>12/20
Ugh, Rock Tomb sucks so badly. Doesn't Aggron learn Rock Slide via Move Tutor? Also, Take Down gains no STAB and just isn't very strong. Finally, while Tail DOES gain STAB, it isn't exactly the best out there seeing as how virtually nothing is weak to Steel, and those that are could more easily be killed by Rock Slide or Earthquake.
Sceptile
Level: 46
Nature: Docile
Ability: Overgrow
Hp: 132
Atk: 98
Def: 71
Sp.Atk:105
Sp.Def89
Speed: 132
Fury Cutter>14/20
Pursuit>16/20
Leaf Blade>11/18
Brick Break>10/15
Fury Cutter and Pursuit are horrible choices. To take advantage of its weaknesses to fire, flying, and bug, give it Hidden Power - Rock, which covers all 3.
Electrode
Level: 47
Nature: Timid
Ability: Soundproof
Hp: 119
Atk: 55
Def: 80
Sp.Atk:84
Sp.Def:89
Speed: 168
Thunderbolt>10/15
Screech>37/40
Rollout>18/20
Facade>16/20
Electrode's Atk is far too low to give it Rollout or Facade. Give it, say...Rain Dance and Thunder.
Gyarados
Level: 48
Nature: Timid
Ability: Intimidate
Hp: 103/163
Atk: 118
Def: 84
Sp.Atk:70
Sp.Def:115
Speed: 94
Surf>12/15
Hyper Beam>3/5
Bite>19/25
Dragon Rage>3/10
Gyarados just doesn't have enough Sp Atk to give it any special moves. Consider giving it Dragon Dance and Thrash. Boost the crap out of him, than OHKO everyone with Thrash or Beam.

Thank you, I Love Manzuri, I'll lose to Wallace, then make those changes, or if by some dumb luck I win, I'll still make those changes.
Additional Comment:
Also, I'll post the new team tomorrow and I'll be gratefull for another R/F by any one including I Love Manzuri.
Trade that Pokemon to a Fire Red/Leaf Green and teach it there, at the cave up of the ghost town.
Trade that Pokemon to an Emerald game and go to Battle Frontier and learn it via the left move tutor.
Additional Comment:
Camerupt:
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Overeath
Body Slam/Curse
Shiftry:
Leech Seed
Explosion
Shadow Ball
Brick Break/Whatever
Aggron:
Double-Edge
Iron Tail
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Sceptile:
Crunch
Dragon Claw
Leaf Blade
Thunderpunch [Almost impossible for you to get, yet]
Electrode:
Mirror Coat [can he still learn it?]
Thunder Wave
Reflect
Thunderbolt
Gyarados:
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
Taunt

Here is my new team that I trained (lv increase of the same one from my first team) all day, and improved their attacks. I would be very grateful for any R/F’s and opinions. Thanks in advance; here it is:
Aggron

Double-Edge<stronger then Take Down
Heracross
Level: 53
Item: Quick Claw
Nature: Gentle

Hp: 147
Atk: 145

Brick Break<should I replace with Dig
Ludicolo
Level: 53
Item: NeverMeltIce
Nature: Modest
Ability: Swift Swim
Hp: 157
Atk: 75
Def: 85

Speed: 90
Rain Dance
Ice Beam
Solarbeam
Surf
Sceptile
Level: 54
Item: Miracle Seed
Nature: Docile
Ability: Overgrow
Hp: 153
Atk: 115
Def: 82
Sp.Atk: 123
Sp.Def: 104

Hyper Beam
Earthquake<Lv100 Linoone in Ruby Version (Again Pure Luck)
Dragon Dance
Hydro Pump
PyroCannon
10-09-2006, 08:33 PM
Ludicolo
Solarbeam & Raindance = weeak solarbeam
Teach him giga drain or HP grass cuz in rain, solarbeam has 60 power...
Heracross- keep brick break. u need a fighting type attack besides reversal
Okay I'll continue to fix:
Heracross:
Dig is plain stupid. Even if you don't have earthquake, it just sucks. Kepe Brick Break for now, until Rock Slide [or change it from a reversering to a pure sweeper]
Ludicolo:
Solar Beam is pure stupid without sunny day.
Two turns for 100 damage = Two 50 damage attacks.
I would probably breed a new one with Leech Seed/Toxic/Surf/Rain Dance and Rain Dish ability.
If you want him as a sweeper then make it:
Surf
Ice Beam
Giga Drain
Rain Dance
Sceptile -
Breed a new one for Crunch, and have for him:
Leaf Blade
Crunch
Dragon Claw
Thunder Punch
[Seriously? No Leaf Blade on him?]
Electrode.. If you Rain Dance then Thunderbolt is pointless...
Gyarados -
-Hydro Pump
+Taunt

Sorry, forgot to type it in. It's in there know.
BreakersRevenge-
A sweeper Heracross? explain?
I don't have another Giga Drain in any of my games, but I do have Toxic, so I'll teach Ludicolo that.
I have a a similar Sceptile breed in my Ruby Version, except it knows Iron Tail instead of Thunderpunch. Though I like the idea I might change the Ruby one or breed a new one. Thanks.
Thunderbolt is for when I run out of Thunders, in which I would also stop using Rain dance.
I'll keep Hydro Pump even though I know Taunt is better stragety wise, because it does 120+STAB+Rain Dance if it is out While my Rain Dance is in affect.

[/CENTER]
You do not need Thunder and Thunderbolt on the same pokemon. It's counter productive and repetetive.
Give it Thunderwave instead of Thunderbolt. It seems to me that you like the rain dance + thunder combo, so keep that.
If you're pressed for PP, give Thunder a PP max, or a couple of PP ups.
If you have emerald, which you do, TMs are not a problem. Just clone them and you will never run out.
The problem is that Gyaradoses Sp.Attack blows.
Thunderpunch is a move-tutor move at battle frontier, so trade over that Sceptile.
By sweeper Heracross, I mean one whose strategy is not based around Reversal. just a regular attacking Pokemon [Strong offensive moves, like Megahorn/Brick Break/Rock Slide/Earthquake set]

Ha ha...Gyarados' special attack does really leave much to be desired...pity. Gyarados would make such a cool special sweeper.
Sweeper Heracross usually will have a stat boosting move, though. Not just a full 4 attacking moveset.
Yeah.. swords dance mostly..
D/P will save Gyarados..

Dragon Dance/Aqua Tail/Ice Fang/Earthquake
Can always try Stone Edge.

Again, same advice. Tomb just doesn't do anything. Maybe Hidden Power rock? Double Edge is just...ewwness ><
Heracross
Level: 53
Item: Quick Claw
Nature: Gentle
Ability: Guts
Hp: 147
Atk: 145
Def: 81
Sp.Atk: 57
Sp.Def: 132

Dig sucks. Eh, too much abusiveness. Give the guy Swords Dance.
Ludicolo

Hp: 157
Atk: 75
Def: 85
Sp.Atk: 124
Sp.Def: 118

Ice Beam
Solarbeam
Surf
Yeah, Solar + Dance = No ><. I'd give it Mega Drain instead of Solar.
Sceptile
Level: 54
Item: Miracle Seed
Nature: Docile
Ability: Overgrow
Hp: 153
Atk: 115
Def: 82
Sp.Atk: 123
Sp.Def: 104
Speed: 155
Dragon Claw
Aerial Ace
Brick Break
Leaf Blade
Now THAT's a diverse Sceptile O_O! Still though, I'd lose probl the Dragon Claw for Hidden Power Rock- it covers Ice, Bug, and Flying
Electrode
Level: 54
Item: Magnet
Nature: Timid
Ability: Soundproof
Hp: 135
Atk: 63
Def: 91
Sp.Atk: 96
Sp.Def: 101
Speed: 193
Thunderbolt
Explosion<will replace with Mirror Coat at level 59
Thunder
Rain Dance
I really wouldn't even bother with Mirror Coat; they're not really going to be hitting you with specials.
Gyarados
Level: 55
Item: Scope Lens<friend gave me one since he had two.
Nature: Timid
Ability: Intimidate
Hp: 186
Atk: 135
Def: 95
Sp.Atk: 79
Sp.Def: 131
Speed: 106
Hyper Beam
Earthquake<Lv100 Linoone in Ruby Version (Again Pure Luck)
Dragon Dance
Hydro Pump
Definitely lookin better; if it manages to survive an electric attack, which it won't XD, Earthquake will OHK it likely

I beat the Elite Four, but never hurts to improove.
I Love Manzuri:
Sceptile: I checked the Hidden Powr calculator on Serebii, and it turns out to be a Steel HP with 65 power.
Heracross:Were do I go to get Swords?
Ludicolo now knows Toxic instead of Solarbeam, sorry for not fixing that.
Electrode: Should I keep Explosion, or should I teach it different move?
Gyardos: Thanks, I'll leave Gyarados as is.
Aggron: Working on getting BP to get Rock Slide for Aggron.
Thanks again.

Sceptile - He is probably giving you movesets from Smogon, and they are usually quite hard to make in the game [referring mianly to specific Hidden powers]
Give it up on Sceptile.
I don't know what he's thinking, but it will take some time to get that specific Hidden Power. Beside, use a special attack on him.
Heracross - Battle frontier.
Electrode - I'm not sure about Mirror Coat not being useful.
If you listen to him then yeah keep it, no realy choice here.
Ludicolo - I am pretty sure he meant Giga Drain and not Mega Drain.
Aggron - Rock Slide after Elite4. No questions.
