GAMEBOY ADVANCE TOURNAMENT: (Rules Revised October 2006) Throughout the day, there will be a Gameboy advance tournament going on. The tournament will require you to bring your own GBA and game. There will be Pokémon merchandise for prizes. We will structure this tournament in a way that those people participating in the main tournament can still participate in the GBA tournament. RULES - You are allowed 3 Pokémon of level 100 or lower; No two of the same Pokémon; You may only have ONE Pokemon from the following list on your team: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys; No duplicate held items allowed; Certain powers (Moonlight, Morning sun, Dream Eater, Rest, Recover, Explosion, Selfdestruct, Slack Off, Soft Boiled, Swallow, Synthesis, Wish) are not allowed after 6 minutes into the match; "Modified" GBA cartridges are not allowed (i.e. Game Shark).

What tournament is this?

Anyway, um, here's a team I crapped out:

Groudon @ Salac Berry
Trait: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 76 Atk / 192 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Overheat
- Swords Dance

Exeggutor (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 48 Atk / 208 Spd / 252 SAtk
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Sleep Powder
- Psychic
- Solar Beam
- Explosion

Snorlax (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 80 HP / 176 Atk / 136 Def / 116 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Rest

It's kind of similar to the team that skarm from Smogon used in the Emerald Seattle tournament. Sleep messes this team up, so you may want Double-Edge/Earthquake/Rest/Sleep Talk Snorlax if you're paranoid of sleep.

Ahem. You're a nub too. And he wasn't yelling.

Anyway, here's a good team for ya.
Latios (excellent special sweeper and opening pokemon)
Metagross (awesome tank and physical sweeper, good second pokemon)
Kyogre, but with the moveset: Thunder, Surf, Calm Mind, Ice Beam

Sorry, I forgot to change Latios and Metagross' movesets.

Latios -
Ice Beam/Thunderbolt
Calm Mind/Another of those attacks listed up
Recover
Dragon Claw

The reason is, Latios might be down fast before managing even two Calm Minds.

Dragon Claw = 120 Power so I prefer it over a chance of status condition.

I don't like the so-called 'Agilligross', I like more:
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Sludge Bomb
Shadow Ball

Or a
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Explosion
Agility for Agilligross, I like explosion because with his speed, when his HP is low, he will strike first with Explosion.

Why do you say you don't like agiligross, when you post an agiligross variant?
Sludge Bomb is not good for Metagross. Don't use it.

I recommended it in case he wanted an Agilligross.
I might not like it, it doesn't mean he shouldn't use it.

I like Sludge Bomb because it can poison, and has a high base attack.
For just sweeping, isn't it better than whatever you want to put there? [Rock slide/Brick Break/Whatever]

Here's a modified team for you.

Latios@soul dew/lum berry/leftovers
Recover
Calm Mind
Thunderbolt
Dragon Claw/Ice Beam

Dragon Claw gets STAB, and Thunderbolt and Ice Beam will do at least neutral damage to almost all types.

Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb/Explosion
Agility

Kyogre@shell bell/leftovers/lum berry

Yes, it means either:
- They are quite the same, it doesn''t matter, just personal preference
- Choose one according to the metagame around you [EX - If you expect people/NPCs to use many Ghost Types, then pick Shadow Ball, or if you expect Plants/Flying, might go for Ice instead of Claw.
- Whatever

If you want to know what I would use, then here you go.
Latios: Calm Mind; Thunder Bolt; Recover; Ice Beam
Metagross: Shadow Ball; Earthquake; Meteor Mash; Agility
Kyogre: Surf; Thunder; Ice Beam; Calm Mind

which one do you think is better lol ????
I recommended Claw, so I obviously will pick it.
Simply because of it's higher power.
It's 25 more base power VS effectivness against Grass & Flying [and also double effectivness against some poular Pokemons like Salamence/Dragonite]
and the low chance of freezing.

In a way, Ice seems better. If you expect many people to bring those over-powered Dragons, then go for Ice Beam for a easy 1hitko. [beware of Dragon Claw]

For Agiligross probably Explosion. For the Sweeper, I prefer Sludge, unless you see many psychic [which might not be such a big suprise], because of Poison & 20 more base power.

Maybe you should start off with Metagross? Or just drop it..

My bad. Misread them.
If you want a Salamence, I like more a Sweeper than a 'Elemence', but it's up to you.
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Aerial Ace [Hp flying if you manage]
Rock Slide/Brick Break

As I said I like more of a sweeper than an Elemence, but it's up to you [and your Meta, apparently].

Also I'm not confident about that Metagross with Explosion. due to the 6minutes rule. I have never played a Link Battle so I don't know how much time it takes, but whatever.

For Kyogre it's the standart set. It's fine.

Yes.

I recommended an Elemence instead of a Sweeper Salamence because Metagross is already on the team and fulfills that slot effectivley.

If you're really worried about the 6 minute rule, switch out explosion for shadow ball on Metagross.

Well you can always go for a Dragon Dancing Salamence [though it doesn't work too good, in my opinion]

You might want Flamethrower instead of Blast.. eve though everyone goes for Blast, I like thrower more..

Anyways, this is a good move-set.

Lum Berry is probably given to you by the berry master or his wife..
Leftovers can be found on the Ship, in trash cans, or bought at Battle Froniter for 48BP.
Shell Bell is made by collecting 4 of each pearls [or whatever they are named]
in Shoal Cave.

Leftovers you can buy in the Battle Frontier (don't remember where you originally get it)

Shell Bell is made by collecting 4 shoal salts and 4 of the other 'shoal' thing (can't remember name) and bringin them to old man inside Shoal Cave.

Lum Berry is gained from berry master or berry master's wife. (at least, that's how I got mine)

Additional Comment:
The strategy is to sweep with Salamence until it dies, is near death, or comes up against something it can't kill.
Switch out to Metagross (if it can kill what Salamence couldn't) or if Salamence dies.
Kyogre is your finishing pokemon. Use it to KO your opponent's pokemon that the other two can't

With that Salamence.. well.. just use Dragon Claw against something that every other attack of yours is neutral against it [because it has 120 power, and more accuracy and PP than Hydro & Blast]
and use whatever move is effective against the opponent.

For Metagross, use two Agillities [I beleive] and just mass kill with extreme speed..

Kyogre, Just use as many Calm Minds as you can [recommended to use them while fighting a Special Attacks Pokemon user, so that you won't die before managing to pull off some]
Then just mass kill with your crazy new Sp.Attack [Use Surf mainly for STAB + Rain bonus]

That berry he recommended, I'll wildly guess it raises Sp.Attack, and it uses itself autmaticaly after some turns.

Shell bell is more than decent for HP recovery, too. Its almost as good, if not the same as leftovers in certain situations.
