catching legendaries

fot the last 3 tries i caught rayquaza with a masterball and used him to catch the ovas but i dont want to so how would u catch him. i think the best way is to let him rest then attack twice and do as much damage as possible an try and paralyze him while doing it (drag breath) and then use ultra ball but what would u do tell what pokemon u used & wat lv they were

all i used was my sceptile lv 77, let rayquaza waste all his rest's then use false swipe him to 1 hp back, sleep him and then try ultra balls.

and by the way you cant paralyse etc. a foe if it already have a diseas

i caught it with a time ball use a pokemon with lots of hp and def and weak attacks aka shuckle or a wobbuffet rate my team.
